I no longer even look at books with savage, brutal, or liar in the title. I’ll check out Brigham Vaughn’s Road Rules, though.
That’s how I feel about the word beautiful in a title, my brain just skips right over it. There was a period of time where it seemed like every other book was titled Beautiful something.
Perhaps it’s just me—coming of age in the 1970s as I did—but the cover for Melodie Edwards’s JANE AND EDWARD looks remarkably like the style of the line drawings found in THE JOY OF SEX. And yes, I know I’m dating myself with that reference, lol.
