Must Love Fangs by Jessica Sims
Midnight Liaisons #3
Paranormal Romance

Must Love Fangs is the third book in the Midnight Liaisons series by Jessica Sims. This is such a fun series, I’ve read and enjoyed both previous releases and the teaser at the end of book two had me looking forward to Josh and Marie’s story.

Marie is dying of a little known disease named Fatal Familial Insomnia. Basically, she can’t sleep. Watching her mother die of the same thing was a long, agonizing process and she will do anything to give herself more time. Her idea for a cure: find a willing shifter or vampire to change her. She works at a supernatural dating agency so it shouldn’t be a problem meeting a willing partner, right? Right? Yeah sure, vampires are harder to get to know than she anticipated and shifters aren’t allowed to change humans without dire repercussions.

Josh is a handsome were-cougar who loves to help little old ladies and usually has every woman he meets eating out of the palm of his hand. He’s been hanging around Marie for awhile, flirting and usually getting her all riled up. When he finds out about her interest in dating a vampire, he offers to help her snag one in order to get closer to her. But when he finally gets to know her he realizes he wants her for himself.

This story made me laugh from the very beginning. The dialogue between Marie and Josh was so funny sometimes:

“So you think I’m pretty? Marie, you flirt, you.”
“Voyons. It’s a figure of speech, tabarnak.”
“And more French. You know that’s sexy, right?”
“You know I just called you vile things, right?”
“That’s how you flirt.”
“I hate you.”
“More flirting.”

They are fun together, but when they finally get around to jumping into bed they are sexy as hell too:

“If you want a one-night stand with a supernatural,” he said, leaning in so close that his breath brushed against my check, “I’ll break out my fangs, lick you for hours, and then ride you so hard that you’ll be bowlegged the next day.”

And he does ladies, he so does.

I loved this story. It had quite a few laugh out loud moments, a super sweet alpha hero and plenty of chemistry and sexy times. A perfect book to sit down with and finish in one evening.
