Slow Burn Cowboy by Maisey Yates (Copper Ridge #7/The Donnellys #1) Released: April 18, 2017 Contemporary Romance Harlequin Reviewed by Mandi I just love the town of Copper Ridge and with this book we meet the entire Donnelly family, or at least the brothers. Finn is our hero, but his three half-brothers come back to his ranch after their grandfather dies and leaves each man a quarter interest. Finn has put his entire life into this ranch and hasn't seen his brothers for many years. He Continue Reading
Review: The VIP Doubles Down by Nancy Herkness
The VIP Doubles Down by Nancy Herkness (Wager of Hearts #3) Released: April 18, 2017 Contemporary Romance Montlake Romance Reviewed by Mandi This is book three of the series centered around a group of three male friends who make bets about whether they will find true love. This is the first I've read of the series and it stood alone well. The bet thankfully didn't play too much into this story - I don't like it when there is a bet, which leads to a relationship, and the eventually the Continue Reading
Review: The Thing About Love by Julie James
The Thing About Love by Julie James (FBI/US Attorney #7) Released: April 18, 2017 Contemporary Romance Berkley Reviewed by Mandi First I have to say, what is up with this cover? At first glance, or from far away, it looks bloody! But it's a broken lollipop? Not my favorite cover, and not my favorite book by Julie James. She writes meticulously detailed FBI agents - you can tell she puts hours, and hours of research into her stories. Some books, an author just slaps on the title of FBI Continue Reading

Review: Buck Naked by Evangeline Anderson
Buck Naked by Evangeline Anderson (Cougarville #1) Released: April 4, 2017 Paranormal Romance Swerve Reviewed by Mandi I wanted to try this one because I have a weakness for shifters and based on the cover and title, our hero shifts into a buck! Or actually, he shifts into an Irish Elk. They turn into prehistoric animals - the Irish Elk has been extinct for seven thousand years. Another man changes into a Cougar from the Paleolithic era. I liked this twist and wish it would have been Continue Reading

Joint Review: The Chosen by J.R. Ward (Spoilers)
We are huge fan of this series and it’s definitely had its ups and downs. We've loooooooved some books and others have received 1-star (sorry, that’s what happens when you kill of a heroine in a romance book). We can safely say that The Chosen is one of the better books of late. Yes, there are multiple story lines but it felt more cohesive. Ward really put some intense emotions into it. Helyce, Sheena and I will hit up all the characters. Please note: Spoilers below. We don't hold Continue Reading
