I’m used to getting my hands dirty. During the day it’s mud and grime on the construction site. At night…it’s the blood I spill. A drug lord’s enforcer does what needs to be done. It’s my obedience, my loyalty to the boss that keeps my family alive. I know I’m teetering on the edge. I’m losing my humanity, I can feel it. It’s changing me, and it’s only a matter of time before the darkness takes over. Then I meet her. Liv. The only person who sees past my busted knuckles and brutal Continue Reading

Review: 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
The cover does not do justice to this story. It gave me the impression the book would be light and fluffy and that is not the case. This book is so very different from THG and it really worked for me. The first bit of the book was a bit slow for me but then it really picked up. And I could not put it down. I stayed up until 1:30 am reading it. It made a cry a little bit. Darcy Barrett is a sad girl. She isn’t eating properly. She isn’t taking medication for her chronic illness. She Continue Reading

Review: Elijah’s Hope by S Doyle
This book made me ragey. I’ve read a few books by Doyle and really, really enjoyed them so I was willing to give this book a shot. The premise of dudes in Alaska creating their own “Bachelor” type contest sounds ridiculous but also interesting. There are going to be spoilers and there are too many to wrap tags around them. So if you don’t want to be spoiled about this book, please stop reading. Eli the hero- 30, works in Alaska on an oil rig, tired of traveling to Anchorage for one Continue Reading
