Review: Stone Cold Heart by Laura Griffin

March 28, 2019 by Mandi

I really enjoy suspense books - I often listen to audio books and my number one genre isn't necessarily romance, but suspense. Although a side romance never hurts! Laura Griffin writes excellent suspense/thrillers. I'm always completely engaged - not only with the crime details, but great dialogue, great descriptions of the crime scenes and some intense action. The romance in this series is very low-key and in this book fell pretty flat for me. Sara and Nolan could be cute and romancy Continue Reading

As an immortal not-ghost, he can transition between this world and the otherplane, which makes him the perfect thief for hire. For seventy years he’s made a “living” returning items to their rightful owners, seeing his fair share of the bizarre in the process. But he’s never witnessed murder. Until now. His latest mission brings him Continue Reading

Angela’s Monday Mornings

Charming as Puck by Pippa GrantContemporary/Romantic ComedyFebruary 1, 2019 Self Published Favorite Quote: "May we someday find men who love us as much as we love each other." Another super sexy, super fun Pippa Grant hockey romance. This time it's Nick's turn to get his HEA and his heroine, Kami, is his sister's best friend. I really liked this couple! Their relationship starts off page sometime in the last few books. So when the book opens Kami and Nick have already started Continue Reading

Angela’s Monday Mornings (Afternoon Edition)

99 Percent Mine by Sally ThorneContemporary RomanceJanuary 29, 2019 by William Morrow Favorite Quote: I say up to the ceiling, "Tell me I smell right." He senses the uncertainty underlying my sharp order. "You smell like the only person." Sally Thorne's sophomore release has garnered mixed reviews. I've seen quite a few people who loved it and some who had a hard time getting into the flow of the story. And I can see why. The first two chapters are disjointed and kind of odd. I Continue Reading

Kini’s Friday Kisses

December 21, 2018 by Kini

Pilot and the Puck-Up by Pippa Grant- I actually read this a few weeks ago but I forgot about it. It’s been a hectic month, what can I say. Grant can be a little much for me with her meta take on romance and just general over the topness, but I really enjoyed this book. Joey, the heroine was a sarcastic and smart heroine, one of my favorite kinds. Zeus is a not so dumb hockey player. He is instantly smitten with her. I loved the way their relationship builds. Zeus loves Joey for her strengths Continue Reading

Smexy folks, I have missed you terribly but I am back. Life required my attention a little more than I would have liked recently and it kept me from writing any reviews. It didn’t keep me from reading though, I have lots of books to talk about this week. First up, I ordered the new Kindle Paperwhite and I mostly love it. It came with 6 months of KU so I am trying to catch up on some KU reads :) Adventures in Online Dating by Julie Particka- I LOVE stories centered around online Continue Reading

Kini’s Friday Kisses

November 16, 2018 by Kini

Things seem to be turning around for my reading. Either I am in a better mood or books are getting better. I think it is a combo of both though. Regardless, I am excited that I read a better batch of books this past week. Sleepover by Serena Bell- I have enjoyed ever book by Bell that I have read and this was no exception. She typically writes emotional and incredibly sexy romances. As a side note, Bell was part of a group of authors, along with Care McKenna, Charlotte Stein, Amy Jo Continue Reading
