Review: Regretting You by Colleen Hoover
This is the second book I’ve read by Hoover. When I saw the description for this book I felt compelled to read it. I enjoy stories centered around a mother and daughter trying to figure things out. Add in some tragedy and I’m all for it. I have never really been drawn to Hoover’s books but I thought maybe this will be the that helps me understand her appeal to so many. Reader, this was not the one. This review will be spoilery so be forewarned. A big chunk of this review will be under a Continue Reading
Guest Post: Sexy Fall and Winter Holiday Romances by Xan West
Xan West's new book, Eight Kinky Nights is out on December 16 and I asked them to put together a list of their favorite holiday romances to share with the Smexy readers. Take it away Xan- I love holiday romances, and read them all year long. As a reader, I particularly adore high heat holiday romance because it’s one of the few places where I can consistently find humor balanced with the heat. To help celebrate my first holiday romance release, which is an erotic romance, I put together Continue Reading

Guest Post: I Wanna Rock (Star) by JN Welsh
JN Welsh stopped by to talk about untraditional rock stars. The mic is yours JN! From Jimmy Hendrix and Tina Turner, to bands like Twisted Sister and Extreme, as well as the musicians gracing the stages of this year’s Afropunk Festival, I love a good rock star. I’ve travelled far and wide, domestically and globally, to get my fill of them. They make fans wild with desire and behavior that under normal circumstances would seem stalker-ish and just a little creepy. No judgment, we’ve all been Continue Reading
Review: The Dating Charade by Melissa Ferguson
I am almost always sucked in by a cute cover and a moderately interesting blurb. This book has both. At least to me. Y’all know by now that I am almost always going to click on a book that mentions online dating. And this blurb mentions single parenting. I felt like I had to read it. Then I noticed it was published by Harlequin’s Christian Printing imprint. I debated not reading it, but I decided to give it a go. I watch plenty of Hallmark movies that kind of dance around faith/religion. I Continue Reading
