The naughty (and I don’t mean in the smexy way) list of holiday fails has been at an all-time high this year. I am not sure if it is a matter of everything having been done before, authors being uninspired, or other factors but this year I’ve yet to actually recommend a holiday read. Today I want to quickly go over some recent “DNF” holiday reads releasing in 2014. On the Naughty List gets a DNF because after reading two F grade novellas I couldn’t be bothered to continue. Lori Foster’s Continue Reading

Tori’s Thoughts: Reading and Reviewing for the Public and Oneself
The internet has come alive...in anger...over a recent article penned by a YA author who essentially chronicles her descent into madness (my words) and criminal activity (her words) by admitting to trolling, harassing, and stalking a reviewer who gave her a negative review. I’m not going to get into it as it has been dissected over and over with the skill of a top-notch surgeon by numerous blogs. You can read all about it in the following links from who I feel best summed up the events. Smart Continue Reading
New Post: Good Blogger Behavior
If you have been on Twitter, read blogs - basically just been online in general, I’m sure you’ve heard of the author we won’t speak of, who stalked a blogger who gave a bad review of her book (read here or here if you need info). Stalked as in - showed up at her house and called her at work among other things. This author has not shown any remorse (she wrote a freaking article all about it that was published in The Guardian) and has actually been praised by some people. This is not Continue Reading

The Relaunch of the Gardella Vampire Series by Colleen Gleason
Before Smexy Books, we'll call it BSB, I read The Gardella Vampire series by Colleen Gleason. Since I didn't have a blog, or twitter (my life was so bleak) I made my next door neighbor read them with me, and we had so much fun with this series. I had first heard about the books on JR Ward's message boards - I think JR Ward put a cover blurb on the first book too, and at that time it all but confirmed I would read these books. I'm so happy to find out Colleen Gleason is rereleasing this Continue Reading
