Mandi’s Favorite books of 2016
Another great year of reading! My favorite books in no particular order: Listen to the Moon by Rose Lerner - This was the first book I reviewed for 2016 and it is fabulous. The hero is a butler, the heroine is a maid and it is a marriage of convenience. Rose Lerner consistently writes some of the best historical romances I read. Kings Rising by C.S. Pacat - The end to a trilogy that holds a dear, dear, place in my heart. During this series, my heart was ripped out more than once. Continue Reading
Kini’s Favorite Books of 2016
Here’s my favorite books from 2016. I looked back at my post from earlier this year and included a few of those in my top from the whole year. When you read so many books, it is hard to pick the best/favorites. My biggest wish for 2017 is more books that feature characters that are over 30. Brutal Game by Cara McKenna- The conclusion to Willing Victim that I didn’t know I needed. It was great to see Flynn and Laurel again even if it left me emotionally raw. We did a group review Continue Reading
Helyce’s Favorite Books of 2016
Compiling this list for 2016 succeeded in proving to me that this was not a great year for me reading wise. From a numbers perspective, I’ve read the least amount of books this year when compared to previous years. I wasn’t surprised to see that most of my favorite reads were by authors whose series I’ve followed for years. With a sprinkling of new to me authors mixed in, here is my list in no particular order: Archangel’s Heart (Guild Hunter #9) by Nalini Singh: This was a fantastic Continue Reading
May’s Favorite Books of 2016
My list for 2016 is a short one, but it was a good reading year. While I read fewer books than usual, I was also not plagued by the WTF phenomenon that was 2015 and for that I am thankful. I can’t think of a single book that I read this year that was a total fail or “can’t even finish with this crap”- and that’s a huge win in my world. I was delighted by the installments in some of my favorite series, as well as a new emerging favorite author. First mention on my list goes to The Hating Game Continue Reading

Tori’s Favorite Books of 2016
2016 has definitely been a year of great change. From dirty politics to the death of icons, I’m sure most will agree that it’s time to lay 2016 to rest for good. Thankfully, amidst the many trials and tribulations we had heaped upon us this year, we had plenty of fantastic books to comfort and offer us an escape from reality. From romance to horror...below is my list of books that helped make this year a little more bearable. Duke of Sin by Elizabeth Hoyt- Elizabeth Hoyt’s truly outdoes Continue Reading
Kini’s Favorite Reads for 2016…..So far
Everyone, please join us in welcoming Kini to Smexy Books!! She's been here for a while but we thought we would officially initiate her into the fold by having her tell us what her favorite reads for 2016 are so far... Never Sweeter by Charlotte Stein- Stein at her best. Gritty and emotional, heroine was once bullied by the hero. Something only this author could make me tolerate and then fall in love with the hero. Some hot and dirty smexing in this book too. Offensive Continue Reading
