After a very expensive medical year, she's facing down SURPRISE emergency deadline surgery next week.So some author friends banded together with me to help. 💕https://t.co/KG3ReK5spW pic.twitter.com/Hy4oWciX13— Bree (half of @kitrocha) (@mostlybree) December 5, 2019 9. In which experienced West End actress Freddy Carlton takes on an Austen-inspired play, a scandal at a country estate, an enthusiastic search for a passion outside of acting…and the (some people might say icy*) heart of London’s most feared theater critic.*if those people were being niceFreddy Carlton knows she should be focusing on her lines for The Austen Playbook, a live-action TV event where viewers choose the outcome of each scene, but her concentration’s been blown. The palatial estate Continue Reading
Kini’s Friday Kisses- Books by Kate Clayborn, Molly O’Keefe, and Sagan Morrow
A Day in the Death of Walter Zawislak by Molly O’Keefe, pubs 12/9. This book is not a romance but does contain a love story. The story is kind of a mash up of movies Meet Joe Black and A Christmas Carol with a little bit of On Top of the World by the Dixie Chicks thrown in. I don’t want to spoil it but it is an interesting story of a man looking back on his life and coming to grips with his self worth. It has the deep emotions that is Molly’s trademark. I really enjoyed it. It also included Continue Reading

Guest Post: I Wanna Rock (Star) by JN Welsh
JN Welsh stopped by to talk about untraditional rock stars. The mic is yours JN! From Jimmy Hendrix and Tina Turner, to bands like Twisted Sister and Extreme, as well as the musicians gracing the stages of this year’s Afropunk Festival, I love a good rock star. I’ve travelled far and wide, domestically and globally, to get my fill of them. They make fans wild with desire and behavior that under normal circumstances would seem stalker-ish and just a little creepy. No judgment, we’ve all been Continue Reading
Review: The Dating Charade by Melissa Ferguson
I am almost always sucked in by a cute cover and a moderately interesting blurb. This book has both. At least to me. Y’all know by now that I am almost always going to click on a book that mentions online dating. And this blurb mentions single parenting. I felt like I had to read it. Then I noticed it was published by Harlequin’s Christian Printing imprint. I debated not reading it, but I decided to give it a go. I watch plenty of Hallmark movies that kind of dance around faith/religion. I Continue Reading
