Smex Scene Sunday
This weeks’s Smex Scene Sunday is brought to you by the words...”Hell and Yea.” I recently finished the arc, Bear Meets Girl by Shelly Laurenston, #7 in her hilarious Pride series. Anyone who reads this series knows the smexy times just keep coming in this series. Here is a little naughty snippet to wet your appetite. Bear Meets Girl releases March 27, 2012. “Shouldn’t a female officer be frisking me?” she asked, making sure to sound as haughty as possible. “Don’t have time Continue Reading

Where Are All The Nice PNR Heroes?
Yesterday on Twitter we were talking about Lothaire, and Jane asked, where are the nice guys in PNR? There does seem to be a lot of bad boys out there. I love to see a bad boy be brought down by love. Lothaire has walked the Earth for centuries, always getting his way. I am amused by how his heroine Ellie makes him learn how to be unselfish (somewhat). Dmitri from Nalini Singh’s Archangel’s Blade is another very naughty hero. So wicked. Again, I love how he stays wicked throughout the book. Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–December 2nd
10. My Week - I have been under the weather this week with a cold, sore throat, fever thing. Hubs has moved to the couch and has relocated his toothbrush to the guest bathroom. (Gee, germaphobe, much?) But that’s okay because I’ve had company from my friend Nyquil. He is a lovely fellow. A little bitter to start. His personality is tough to swallow..but after you get to know him, he is so soothing. He let’s me sleep all night, although he leaves me feeling a little funky in the morning. I’m Continue Reading
May’s “New To Me” Favorites of 2011
As the holiday season gears up and 2011 winds down I find myself reflecting on reading in 2011, and books and authors that are new to me. Today I thought it would be fun to look at "new to me" discoveries I’ve made this year. Books that were released a year or more ago, but for one reason or another I have not read. I will share how I discovered them and why I recommend them. In no particular order: Series: GA Aiken’s “Dragon” series The book Dragon Actually was released in Continue Reading
Interview with Carly Phillips and Giveaway
We are happy to have Carly Phillips at Smexy today for a chat! Tell us about yourself. I’m a stay at home mom who is lucky enough to write and publish contemporary romance. I have two teenage daughters, one is nineteen and away at college, the other is fifteen and needs constant driving to and from everywhere. When I’m home and not working, I’m at the beck and call of two dogs, a 4 year old wheaten terrier named Bailey and an eight month old Havanese named Brady. I’m married to a guy I met Continue Reading

Interview with Fallon Blake and Giveaway
Who is Fallon Blake - give us the low down. Honestly I’m a blue collar, Florida gal who loves to read, cook and play with my kids. Other than books, my weaknesses include: sci-fi, horror movies, coffee and dark chocolate. I’m kind of geeky, definitely smart-mouthed and on the introverted side -- that about sums it up. This Side of Heaven is your debut novel. What has your journey to being a published author been like? I’d always imagined myself becoming a writer. Life sort of got in the way Continue Reading
