As I’ve been waiting for the sequel to Bared to You this past year, I kept thinking in my mind that the crazy intensity between Gideon and Eva would either not live up to my hopes in book two, or it would get old and I would get tired of their seriously messed up lives.

I was wrong.

Oh this book is intense. There is some massive crazy, possessive, jealous rages. And I liked it. I don’t want to really go too far in setting up this book because you really need to let the events unfold as you read. Don’t go looking for hints as to what is going to happen. Because Sylvia Day – she goes there. And I know you are asking – goes where? Well, by the time you are done reading you will be nodding your head saying, why yes, yes she goes there. And I really like that she made this decision. I’ll stop being cryptic now.

In this book we dive deeper into Gideon and Eva’s traumatic pasts. The abuse that happened to both of them has not only seriously affected their lives as adults, but also has formed a bond between them. And while they hurt each other, over and over (and over), they also start to realize they will never be ‘normal’ together. And while they accept this, they also yearn to not completely exhaust each other with their constant jealous, possessive behavior. They bring up the fact that they resolve their issues with sex. I like this..because this happens a lot in romance books, where sex is the magical cure. Here, it’s acknowledged and examined.

There is such a fine line between these two people being completely insane and completely sexy. She makes them sexy and insane, and this book becomes total crack (where I could not put it down) rather than too much over the top. I will say, their devotion to each other is crazy. It’s not normal really and I can see where readers may get their eyes rolling while reading this series. I take it as a fantasy to enjoy for the few hours I read this.

I also like that Sylvia Day brings in nice supporting characters. Eva’s BFF and roommate Cary has a big roll in this book, as well as more stable characters like her boss and his boyfriend, and some girlfriends she hangs out with.

Reflected in You not only has crazy good sex scenes in it, but she really moves the story along with a conflict that will keep you on your toes. And while I’m dying for the third book so we can finally see some peace between Gideon and Eva, the end of this book left me satisfied. I’m actually sad that this will only be a trilogy.

Enough talk. Should I get to the good stuff aka sexy quotes about Gideon?

“It turns me on when you challenge me, Eva.” His voice lowered and became raspier, dripping with sex and sin. “It makes me want to fuck you. For a very, very long time.”

“God.” my hips pumped upward, my core tightening with the need to come.

“And since I can’t,” he purred, “I’m going to get you off like this, then watch you return the favor with your mouth.”

Or this…

He stood on the far side of my shower, his feet planted wide, his ripped body flexing rhythmically as he caressed his beautiful cock with long, slow strokes.

I’d never seen anything so blatantly sexual or boldly masculine.

“Oh my God,” I breathed, riveted. “You are so fucking hot.”

If you have not read Bared to You (book one) make sure you do before picking this up. This is definitely not a stand alone. The conclusion of this trilogy, Entwined with You is due out December 31.

This is freaking killing me. I am trying to save my money because I really want the print book. I can’t justify to myself or my husband in spending the money on the ebook AND the print book. Killing me I tell ya. I want — no need — to know how she goes there.

Oh my goodness, 50 Shades who??? This book is a great read, I waited up for it to be released and as soon as I was able to purchase it I did just that. I love that the book is fast paced and it literally keeps you on your toes from start to finish. On the last few chapters your heart is guaranteed to beat increasingly fast.I am so sad that there is only one more book, I am enjoying this series so much. The sex scenes are great but MOREOVER the plot is amazing!
