Destined for an Early Grave Book Trailer

Destined for an Early Grave, the fourth book in Jeanine Frost’s Nighthuntress series comes out July 28th. She recently released the book trailer:

Book trailers just don’t do it for me. I wonder how many people are swayed to buy a book after watching a trailer. I don’t like them because I have the characters physical appearance in my head, and I don’t want to see another’s version. This is why I stress about casting for books that are made into movies – such as the upcoming Anita Blake TV movie and rumored Outlander movie. Who will play Jean-Claude and Jamie Fraser?? I know, silly stress but I can’t help it:)

Free Darkfever Download
Darkfever, the first book in Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series is now available for free download. Go to Suvudu site for more information. Dreamfever, the fourth in what will be a five book series comes out August 18th.

New Moon Book Covers
Here is the cover of the trade paperback book of New Moon that ties into the release of the movie on November 21st.

I was just going to type I can’t believe they didn’t put Edward on the cover, but if you look, his big face is staring right at you:) He is watching you Jacob….
This will be the cover for the mass market paperback:

Look at Jacob being all protective. He is no match for Edward ;)
I hope everyone has a fun July 4th weekend!! We are having a big party here, which means I need to get off the internet and go prepare! Happy 4th!!

I don't get the book trailers either, but I am waiting for that book! I like the first New Moon cover better than the second one – I'm an Edward fan but Jacob does look on the first one! I've got Darkfever on CD, once you get used to the voice (it doesn't match the one in my head) it's good – especially for long trips!

Patti – someone told me Barron's voice, or the voice used in audio DF was a woman. I don't know if I would like listening to that:)

I agree with you on the book trailer but I've seen people post they really enjoy. I guess to each their own.

I have something for you over at my blog.

Is The Outlander novel going to be turned in to a movie? I have the same problem, the characters are so alive for me in my head that none will truly fit the shoes of Jamie Fraser. I have the same fear for KMM Fever series…who would play Barrons or V'Lane?

Book trailers don't do it for me aither. The only book trailer Ive really liked is the one they made for Envy, a The Luxe Novel.

Ugh no more Twilight! it makes me want to puke :S

I have actually bought books based on book trailers. But they have to be creative trailers; most trailers give you no sense of the book or the writer's personality.
