Before I tell you how low I have become in my fictional lust for a character, let’s start at the beginning. There is a little show on HBO called True Blood, have you heard of it? ;) It is in its second season and based on a series of books by Charlaine Harris. Which by the way, last week, ALL eight Sookie books were on the New York Times Best Seller list. That is crazy!!
While I enjoyed last season, the episodes this year have been really great in my opinion. I am completely in love with Lafayette, Pam and Eric. While Lafayette and Pam make me laugh and are so fierce, I have completely inappropriate feelings for Eric and the actor that plays him, Alexander Skarsgard. Let’s go on a little picture tour of Mr. Skarsgard:

Alexander is from Sweden, and there is one film he did there in particular that has caught much interest. Well, I should say there is one scene that has received much drooling. Here it is in all of it delicious soapy goodness:

However, all of the above is nothing compared to what I have been doing on Twitter. First, I found Eric Northman himself has a Twitter account. I have no idea if it is officially related to the show, but he acts like Eric, he flirts and talks about the current happenings in his life. He awakes at night and tweets Sookie and Bill. This is a very exciting find for me (and you know I needed another excuse to be online.)
Then I found something even better – Eric’s Butt. Yes, I have tweeted to someone named Eric’s Butt. This is my new low. I have actually spent minutes of my life tweeting to a butt. During the day his butt is awake, even though Eric himself is still sleeping. See, a normal person would not know this information. His butt enjoys it when you tweet him a little rub or pat. Often his butt ponders things during the day as Eric sleeps. His butt even went naked (his twitter avatar) to celebrate last week’s episode. Who knows what it will do for the finale? You know I will be online to find out.
In the season finale I’m dying to find out how they kill the crazy Maenad. Eric is in the queen’s clutches and has been threatened by Bill to stay away from Sookie – Eric is not going to be happy! Poor Hoyt and Jessica, can they rekindle their love? I can actually say I liked Jason the last two episodes and looking forward to more of his paint ball and nail gun army.
True Blood’s season finale is this Sunday on HBO at 9pm EST.

I'm seriously regretting my budget consciousness – and my scrouge of a husband that made me save money by cutting HBO and Showtime. I mean c'mon – we could have cut some where else, like groceries or something. ParaJunkee
OMG! I laughed so hard at this post! I'm JUST now watching the first season of True Blood. I don't have HBO so a friend let me borrow season 1 but now I have to wait forever for season two! Might have to get HBO…

I am team Eric X 542389. I watched the first season having never heard of the books, then read all 8 in one week over Christmas. Now I can't enjoy the shows as much because I fell in love with the books. I know this is different from a lot of people, but…that's how it is for me.

Having read all the books, the shorts, and anything else related to Sookie Stackhouse that I can, definitely a fangirl here, I'm all over Team Eric. If you've read book 9, then you'll know what I talking about, we see a better side of Eric. I freaking love HBO's True Blood and I'm looking forward to next year already.

I AM TEAM ERIC's BUTT…uh I mean team Team Eric. I usually like my fictional hotties tall, dark, tattooed and maybe even pierced here and there but the Viking Vampire has definitely made an impression on me and I've decided to allow him into my harem of hotties. :p

I absolutely love the actor playing Eric, and i LOVE Eric as a character. He's been my number 1 in the series ever since book 1. I'm a Team Eric (i really don't like the actor playing Bill, and well i read all the books and Bill isn't on my list of people i like)
I have mixed feelings about te tv show, it's quite different from the books but well still i'm waiting for each new episode with excitement!

LOL I must admit to having googled all things Alex and Eric myself. I love watching True Blood. I am allowed to gaze guilt-free upon all of that hotness as my husband is totally addicted to the show as well.

I was shattered to hear that Alan Ball confirmed there will be no pink spandex for Eric in the finale… the question was put to him at comic-con and he disappointed many Team-Eric devotees.
BUT, I for one am wiling to forgive Alan Ball the lack of pink lycra IF he promises Eric fangirls the infamous shower scene from 'Dead to the World'… all I want is for Alan Ball to give us a little *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* that let's us know we'll be getting our "yikes, yahoo, yum" Eric/Sookie shower scene!
Ah, the Eric/Sookie scene from True Blood… I have to admit I re-recorded the episode just so I could watch that scene again. And again.
I would not mind looking at Eric all day. Bill is a little too pasty, but he's growing me. But by far my favorite is Sam. I love Sam! Oh my gosh he's so cute.
