Before you start running away, I’m not talking about March Madness in terms of basketball – I’m talking books. Dear Author and Smart Bitches Trashy Books have posted their annual DA BWAHA tournament. What is this, you ask? Let me tell you – they have chosen 64 romance books, in eight categories (contemporary, historical, GLBT etc…). You fill out your bracket for which books you think will advance to the next round (just like basketball) and later this week voting will open. If it is similar to last year, each round will have voting open a certain number of hours, and if the books you chose win and move on, you receive a certain number of points.
The grand prize is an iPAD, but there are also prizes given throughout each round.
I did this for the first time last year and had so much fun. There were a lot of really close matches and it became very exciting (this is where the husband starts to roll his eyes.) It is also fun to follow the hashtag #dabwaha on Twitter for all the trash talk. People also like to use Twitter to try to sway the votes *cough* Katiebabs *cough*. Don’t fall for it – trust Smexy – I will use you lead you on a path to victory.

Ok, I must be stupid but I don't get it at all. Sounds like fun but I'm lost. :(
Tori – if you look at the bracket, you will see all 64 books listed. Each day, a set of them will match-up against each other – like the first two books – Ash V. Catching Fire. You have to pick which book you either WANT or THINK will advance to the next round. The way they advance is by us voting in a few days. Once all the original books get voted, they get paired up with another book and voting happens again until there is only one book left.

Catching Fire FTW!!!!
Last night after a day spend with a girlfriend I tried…and tried…and tried, but the "enter my picks" button wasn't to be found. With sleepy eyes I gave up but this morning all was well again, clitch was fixed YAY and I entered my picks. There are lots of unknown books for me but that doesn't diminish the fun in any way. Enjoy the tournament everyone ;)
