10. My week – I have no idea what I did this week. I’m so boring it isn’t even funny. I meet my friends for lunch and they ask – what’s new? I just sit there with a little drool coming out the side of my mouth. What do I do? Read a little, tweet a little, scrub a toilet. That’s all I got people. But I do love me ;)
9. I’ve wanted to read a Samantha Kane book for quite some time now. I have her first Brothers In Arms book on my Kindle, but haven’t gotten to it yet. So when I saw her new release, Cherry Pie pop up, I grabbed it and read pretty quickly. Overall I liked this one. It took me a little while to be convinced of the attraction between the two heroes. John recently moved to North Carolina after the death of his lover. Connor had returned to the house he grew up in (that John now owns) ready to start over again after a rough few years with drugs. They live in a southern North Carolina town and have quite a few obstacles to overcome. Connor is a different type of hero and well written. I didn’t quite connect to John as much, but by the end I believed in their HEA. Cute story! Can’t wait to read more from Samantha Kane.
8. Ilona Andrews has released an ebook of Magic Mourns, which originally released in the Must Love Hellhounds Anthology. This is the story of Andrea and Raphael. Bigger news is that there is a new excerpt of Magic Slays at the end of this book! Releases May 17th.
7. Most of you have probably heard, but there was quite an injustice done to author Judy Mays this week. Judy Mays is the pen name for an english teacher (of 25 years!) in Pennsylvania. Somehow a parent of a student in her class found out she writes erotic romance novels in her spare time. Now, Judy Mays has never spoke of this in school. The parent discovered this all on her own and made a big deal about it. The local news station, WNEP picked up the story, showed her picture and reported her real name, along with disparaging remarks from two parents about how awful and horrendous it is for an english teach to write “porn.” *MASSIVE EYE ROLL FROM ME!!!*
Judy Mays did NOTHING wrong. In an outpouring of support, students, friends and the romance community (who I love so hard) wrote on WNEP’s Facebook (click on “most recent” on top right), Tweeted them, and set up a support page for Judy Mays (which has over 6,000 likes!!!). 6. Our girl Tori has a new gig – a writer for the website, Heroes and Heartbreakers. This week Tori talks about Multiple Partner is Erotica. She made me giggle. An excerpt: “I won’t even go into the issues of stretching (you know what I’m talking about) or incontinence. Ignore it all you want, it’s still a valid concern.” Go check it out.
5. The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig is one of my kids favorite books. It is a twist on the originally story where in this one the pig is the big baddie. They don’t just use straw and bricks – but concrete, barbed wire, dynamite, and padlocks. My boys love the mass destruction ;) And it has an adorable end.
4. Harry Potter and The Deathy Hallows Part Two Trailer. LOVE. The very first shot of Snape walking gives me chills. Can’t wait!!!!!
3. Awww…the royal kiss. Heck, they kissed TWICE those naughty royals. Loved her dress. But let’s face it – I watched for one reason – Prince Harry. I want to be paired up as a bridesmaid with him. Know what I’m sayin’? You know he is a dirty, dirty boy. Smexy approves.

Oh, I’d been nervous. But I still think they were exhausted since they had to get up at O’Dark Thirty for such an early wedding (11am isn’t early in theory, but in something with that much practice, eeeeeearly). It reminded me of a student trying to stay awake in lecture at a 9am class. You try, but you gotta jolt, try, jolt. I found it honestly enchanting because it was so….normal.
And Britney is my ultimate whip out punishment. Imagine Soda Pop live for a week, on rotation, and like in the middle of the night so you can’t even get good catnaps between.
Yay wedding :) Though I still can’t why Harry is a looker

The whole Judy Mays thing is just so sad and diheartening to me. I’m almost more upset at the lack of journalistic ethics that WNEP displayed during their original and subsequent broadcasts. I doubt they will, but damn to they owe Mays an apology. And if this whole fiasco damages her teaching career in any way, I hope mays sues those parents for slander. Insuinating she was a pedophile? *shakes head*

I read the first Brothers In Arms novel and the rape issue wasn’t handled well IMO She’s a rape victim but decided to sex it up w/ two friends she got reaquainted with earlier that night, that just didn’t sit well with me :( Of course I watched the trailer of HP and I’m super excited, can’t wait for the grand finale!
I enjoyed the royal wedding up to the beginning of the service, it’s just loads of boring proticol :( But just looking at Kaye & Will was great, they really had moments of teared up eyes and barely with held smiles. I like seeing them together ;)

The Judy Mays attack was unwarranted, unfounded, unjustified, and makes me furious!! That poor woman. But I love how former students came out defend her. I’ll bet those mom’s kids wish their moms had kept their mouths shut. I can’t imagine what school is like for them now. lol She should sue that hick tv station for slander and label.
