News from Tori: Been busy busy busy this week. Not a whole lot of reading but I did crank out some over due reviews. w00T!
Jasmine Haynes The Naughty Corner is that and much more. A sexy steamy erotic romance between a summer football coach and a writer who make a deal concerning her nephews’ bad behavior. Every time they misbehave SHE gets punished. And oh boy does she ever. I really enjoyed the story line and how sensual and playful both characters were in and out of bed. I also liked that both were more mature so the histrionics and angst we often see in the younger crowd was mercifully absent. Review to come.
Alice Clayton’s The Redhead Plays Her Hand is a delightfully humorous and sexy wrap up to Sweet Nuts and Georges tremulous relationship. Clayton lets down her hair and addresses issues that have been plaguing this couple since day one. It isn’t an easy journey but then love never is. Review to come.
Dedicated Ink by Raene Rose is a sweet and sexy erotic romance about a couple whose one night stand hands them a HUGE surprise. A bit stingy on the emotional growth, neither less a fast paced read with some steamy scenes and a little suspense to round it all out.
Erin McCarty’s Sweet takes us back into her True Believers series with Jessica and Reily’s story. An interestingly developed romance between two untrusting souls. Lots of snark , humor, sexual tension makes this a winner for me. Review to come
Entwined (TheDarkest London) by Kristen Callihan was so so good. A sensual uplifting story about a man who falls in love with the woman he is wooing for his brother through the love letters he writes. I enjoyed that Callihan doesn’t drag the main conflict out and we are able to spend time with our MCs as a couple. Review to come.
Red Hill by Jamie McGuire takes a post apocalyptic zombies and creates a character driven story that will engage and sadden as you watch three protagonists struggle to survive the end of the world. Review to come.
His Tattooed Virgin by Heather Rainier is a sugary sweet erotic romance between a virgin librarian and a tattoo artist. Lots of steam and sweet romance though the heroine’s random stupid moments were annoying.
This weekend I will be reading Nalini Singh’s Archangel’s Legion, Kele Moon’s Crossing The Lines, and Abigail Roux’s Shock & Awe.
