Marine helicopter pilot Michael McCade wants to get back up in the air, but his back has other ideas. Hurt in a training mission, Michael is desperate for his back to give him a break. Barely making it up his apartment stairs one night, he hears a woman calling for help. When he bursts into her apartment, he sees a sexy lady handcuffed to her bed.

Poor Chloe just wanted to have some sex, after a year long draught, but her friend who was suppose to show up, canceled. And then the handcuff key fell down the air vent. Having to pee really bad, she called for  help and ‘Major Hottie’ came to her rescue. The chemistry flares, but so does his back (his back is such a cock block!) But the next day, Michael shows up (reluctantly) for a therapy massage, and guess who his massage therapist is? Chloe works her magic, and they get a bit carried away and a happy ending was well on its way to fruition. Until they get caught. And Chloe loses her job and her apartment. She ends up shacked up at Michael’s. Let the fun begin.

What a fun and sexy book this is. I recently read a very sexy novella by this author and was eager to try more from her. This reminds me a bit of Elle Kennedy’s Out of Uniform series. Our hero Michael is a good guy. He is used to living by himself and has that rigid Marine lifestyle, so when Chloe comes storming into his life, he likes it but he is also not sure of the chaos. Chloe is a bit of a free spirit, traveling around for her therapy job and just up for fun.

What I liked about this book is that these two both are horny and both like to have sex. There is never bad feelings or pesky conflict. Well except for the fact that Chloe hates to impose on Michael and feels the urge to move on to a new job. But it all works out well.

Have I mentioned this book is hot?

“Fast,” she gasped. “It’s got to be fast.”

He rocked her again. “Fast and rough?”

“I promise not to rough you up.”

“No deal. I want you to rough me up good, because I’m not stopping until you lose control – until you rake my ass with your fingernails, and sink your teeth into my shoulder to keep from screaming, ‘Faster, Michael, fuck me faster,’ at the top of your lungs. And when I finally let you come, it’s going to be brutal. You’ll take days to stop trembling. Are you ready for that?”

Ready? She was beyond ready. He’d just laid out what sounded like the best plan she’d heard in over a year.

Their banter also made me smile throughout as well

“I’ve also been trained to respond swiftly and aggressively to any crisis.”

“Oh dear. Do we have a crisis?”

“I’m sorry to have to tell you this, ma’am, but there is a huge crisis developing.” He nudged his hips into hers so she couldn’t miss his hard-on. Her quick little intake of breath assured him she’d missed nothing, and did unprecedented things to his heart. He had a week’s worth of precedent for what it did to the rest of him.

“Goodness…that is huge…ly alarming.”

I read this in one sitting and enjoyed myself quite a bit. Definitely will be grabbing the next book out by Samanthe Beck
