Smexy’s Top Ten

News from Mandi:  I really enjoyed Looking for Trouble by Victoria Dahl. The first full-length in her new upcoming series features a librarian heroine and a hero who comes home with trouble. The heroine’s mom ran off with the hero’s dad long ago, so there is small town gossip. The conflict is done well and it’s super sexy. Review coming.

Another winner – Lay it Down by Cara McKenna. A new series starting for her too. Set in the desert, this features a small, run down town where a big new casino is about to be built. The locals don’t like it, but it can’t be stopped. The hero in this is a total McKenna hero – big, hard, gruff, sexy as hell. Loved the heroine too. There is some woo woo with the conflict that I didn’t love, but overall I liked this book. I loved the characters – the future ones are set up so well. Review and guest post coming from Cara soon!

A Kiss on Crimson Ranch by Michelle Major has a lot of drama and conflict – I liked it but the romance takes a backseat to everything. And it has  a very abrupt end. Review coming.

I had some trouble with You Own Me by Shiloh Walker. I was excited because the hero spent time in prison (and you know I love me some prison romance) but I didn’t like this one. I didn’t like how the romance plays out. It felt forced…I explain more in my review, coming soon.

Up next for me is the third in Jane Kindred’s erotic demon m/m series. See my review on book one here. I like (and I usually don’t like demons)

News From Sheena: TGIF!  I have a ton of reading to catch up on and I’m looking forward to drowning myself into smexy times!

Reaper’s Stand by Joanna Wylde- I dropped everything I read it in less than 24 hours.  Nothing short of outstanding. Game changing.  Hands down the best of the series.  Full review to come this Fall.
Snap by Katie Porter- Excessively Gratuitous sex and clumsy espionage…nail biter- but not in a good way.  In a bad one.  Review to come

I started Deceptive Innocence by Kyra Davis …It is certainly not lacking in intrigue thus far…

Ah the the highlight of my week is an August 2014 release announcement for the next installment of my fav erotic serial by Callie Hart- Blood & Roses aka ZETH!!!  Score!!  *forces myself to sit on my grabby hands*  :-)

Sheena I’m jealous you already read Reaper’s Stand. I can’t wait for that book and am even more excited now since you said its the best in the series since Devil’s Game was so good it’s hard to think of topping it.

Tori- I am def in a sweet spot with Wylde. I connected with her on FB and she is definitely throwing a curve ball with the next hero! Can NOT say enough good things about this series and the spin off. I’m ALL over that!
