Tropes Mandi is Looking for in 2015
Smexy’s Top Ten

News from Mandi: Risking It All by Tessa Bailey is a well done start to a new series. I love the fact that it’s a longer book (not a category length). She gives us a hero who falls on the wrong side of the law and a heroine out for revenge. It also sets up future books in this series well. Comes out 1/20 – oh – and the hero is dirty (of course!) Review coming.

I am so bummed about Something True by Karelia Stetz-Waters. It’s a F/F being published by Forever. I was so excited to see a big publisher publishing F/F! But I made it to chapter 3ish of this one and I couldn’t go on. There is no chemistry between the heroines. The way it is written seems rigid. Just didn’t work out for me.

I’m currently read Heat by R. Lee Smith. This is not really a romance book (I don’t think?) It’s by the same author who wrote Last Hour of Gann. I’m obsessed. It’s extremely violent. Chilling. Horrifying. I can’t look away. It’s a long book so I hope to be able to report back next week. ;)

I’m also going to start Flirting with Disaster by Victoria Dahl.

News From Tori: Tessa Bailey’s Risking It All brings the heat, passion, and intrigue when a mob boss falls for an undercover cop. The dirty talk alone is enough to keep you glued to your e reader.

The Pleasure Principle by Jane O’Reilly is a cute erotic novella about a young women whose ex ‘rates’ their love making very low. Hurt and embarrassed, she appeals to her sexy boss for some help with her sexual appeal. Very sexy and steamy though the heroine’s histrionics got old quick in the beginning.

Bear Attraction by Jennifer Ashley will please many fans as it finally gives us Walker’s and Rebecca’s story. Smart and sexy, new storylines open up in this action packed novella while our favorite couple is pushed together to help find a young woman’s sister and end up finding so much more. Review to come.

Cold Cold Heart by Tami Hoag. A suspenseful thriller that will keep readers guessing when the survivor of a vicious serial killer finds herself the key to an unsolved mystery. Review to come.

The Saint’s Wife by Lauren Gallagher. A bittersweet romantic contemporary about misconceptions and the ability to forgive when a woman is forced back to her estranged husband’s side and the truth about their marriage and separation comes to light. Review to come.

Some Kind of Normal by Juliana Stone. A sweet YA about a young man learning to deal with TBI and the girl he falls in love with. Review to come.

This weekend I am reading Giving it all by Cara McKenna and Falling Away by Penelope Douglas.

Gah, R.Lee Smith is like crack.
There should be new book out soon, and it’s a zombie book. I shouldn’t be even consider it, but she wrote this terrific post about how main character is a monster with a soul of poet and she hooked me, dammit.
I am stalking her blog on release info, still nothing. (-__-)

I just found out about this book this week (which reminded me I had never read Heat)

I’ll totally read it. I don’t care if there is no HEA and if there are zombies. Her writing is my crack.

I am right there with you. I may have to re-read one of her books to keep from going into withdrawals.
