This was, in general, a terrible book year. I had a record number DNF, WTF, and generally horrendously bad books. From creepy ‘like a father to her’ relationship dynamic to books that were completely unoriginal and everything in between – it was gnarly going out there. So much swinging and missing! The level of “ok I guess” C rated books was also record high for me, and this just really bums me out!
Ah, but then I went sifting through the shelves and was pleasantly surprised to find that I had exactly ten fabulous recommend this book reads that released this year. So here is my list of top 10 (in no order) books that released in 2015, and a single sentence review/endorsement on why you might love each one of these as well.
Kate & the beast lord are everything.
Walk Through Fire by Kristen Ashley
This book is KA at her best, oh the feels and the flails.
Shards of Hope by Nalini Singh
One of best in recent history – so much love and Arrow feels.
Four Nights with the Duke by Eloisa James
He likes that she’s greedy for his cock. (review)
Scandal Takes the Stage by Eva Leigh
Our hero Cam does not swan; he strides about with masculine virile purpose. (review)
The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne
Black hearted criminal who would dismember any man that dares touch his lady love. (review)
When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare
Fake fiancé turns out to be a real brute of a highlander who demands she lift her skirts. (review)
Interesting new ye olde setting ‘magical’ PNR type series. (review)
Smexy panther shifter and super heroes for the win. (review)
Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop
Everything a fantasy series should be and 100% amazing.
So despite the disturbing uprising of lackluster or downright unreadable books I came across, there are still some amazing ones out there – and even better I see a lot on the horizon for 2016 that gives me a lot of hope that I will see a lot more excellent and exciting reading coming soon.

Love the descriptions, and I can not believe I somehow missed the review of The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne. That book sounds like it was made for me.

I’m right there with you on Vision in Silver. It was one of my favorites, too. Walk Through Fire didn’t go as well for me. I do think it included one of the best scenes KA has ever written (when Millie finally has her breakdown with High and the guys – be still my heart,) but overall it was a bit lacking for me.
Nice list! You’re reminded me that I really need to make time for Kate Daniels. :)
