Our Thoughts on Feverborn by Karen Marie Moning
Cover Reveal and Excerpt: Deceived by Kate SeRine
Smexy’s Top Ten
News From Mandi: I had some problems with Castelli’s Virgin Widow by Caitlyn Crews – in particular the hero. He is a super jerky hero to start – and let’s face it, that can be fun IF redeemed. But man…at the end he was still super jerky!! Very unlikable to me. I felt like he didn’t respect the heroine at all. Review to come.
Unquiet by Melanie Hansen is a m/m book that takes a deep, dark look at mental illness. One of the heroes suffers from BiPolar/depression etc…and she does not shy away from it at all. A very somber book…but I thought well done. Review coming.
I read Feverborn by Karen Marie Moning – you can see my thoughts above.
I’m currently reading Forbidden by Beverly Jenkins…I’m enjoying the heroine. I’ll report back.
News From Tori: Painful Lessons by S.C. Wynne– A lightweight coming of age story that navigates a young man’s first year of college as he learns more about himself and those around him. Review to come.
Heated Ride by Chelsea Camaron-The 7th book in Camaron’s The Hellion Ride series tells the story of a married couple whose romance has hit the skids. Dual povs address the havoc kids, work, and the MC life can play on a relationship. A sweet, sexy second chance romance with a well connected couple and a nice action packed side story. Review to come.
Outside The Lines by Lisa Desrochers-DNF. I loved the premise, mob family put into WITSEC and now playing revenge. SIGN ME UP. But then I reached 35% only to find that nothing had happened beyond basic character introduction and storyline set up. Review to come.
The Marauders series by Lina Andersson-I wasn’t a fan of book one but decided to try the next one and was pleasantly surprised by how much better it was. I am currently on book 4 right now. Clean lines, engaging characters, and a nice blend between the romance and main conflict though the romance is the dominant storyline. I would compare Andersson to Fanetti in that her stories are more mature and less apt to fall victim to the melodrama that other MC romances subscribe to.
I’m currently reading The Baller by Vi Keeland and then on to Keep On Loving You by Christie Ridgeway.
