Mandi News: I DNF’d Lady Bridget’s Diary by Maya Rodale at page 200. I’m going to post a review next week – I expected it to be a twist on Pride & Prejudice and Bridget Jones’s Diary – but there are so many scenes right from both movies – with Mean Girls thrown in. It was too distracting.
Beyond Ruin by Kit Rocha is good. It’s Mad, Dylan, Jade and Scarlet with m/m, f/f, m/m/f/f scenes – the only way Kit Rocha can do it *wink*. Tori and I will have a joint review soon.
I’ve just started Necessary Risk by Tara Wyatt – a new bodyguard series – I like the beginning.
I finished The Unleashing by Shelly Laurenston on audio. Realllly fun book – but I didn’t like the narrator.
(I’ve also started Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow – so fascinating.)
News From Tori:
Driven by Sidney Bristol Not what I expected at all. I was so bored I DNF’ed around 60%. Review to come.
P.S. Your Mine by Alexa Riley A super sweet erotic short that builds a romance between a teacher and Marine stationed overseas through a series of letters.
Dead In The Water by Hailey Edwards Great start to a new Urban Fantasy/Mystery series. Fans of her Black Dog series will enjoy the cameos. Read review here.
One of the Guys by Shiloh Walker A sweet and uber sexy erotic romance contemporary. Friends to lovers is a fun engaging trope especially when done well. Review to come.
Alexei by Roxie Rivera (Book 8-Russian Protectors) I have waited a long time for this story and Rivera didn’t disappoint. The conflict blends well with the romance, giving readers a sexy action packed story. Review to come.
The Seal’s Rebel Librarian by Anne Calhoun Anne Calhoun’s voice shines bright in the second installment of her Alpha Ops novella series. A divorced librarian with a hefty bucket list and a recently discharged soldier suffering from PTSD indulge in a sexy, erotic, extraordinary adventure.
The Rules by Elizabeth Brown (Book 2-Off Limits) Best friend little sister loving is almost always a guaranteed fun read and Elizabeth Brown doesn’t disappoint with this sexually charged, tension filled, forbidden romance contemporary.
This weekend I’m reading Kelly Meding’s The Night Before Dead and some smexy deals I couldn’t resist one clicking. I am weak. *sigh*
