New Covers for Thompson & Sons Series by Vivian Arend!

New covers for a series that’s not quite finished? What are you up to, Viv?

Well, it turns out in my excitement of becoming a newbie self-publisher two years ago, I got a little carried away.

First, I was certain I’d be able to finish writing the entire Thompson & Sons series in one year. Oh, innocent enthusiasm… Turns out being a writer AND a publisher takes more time. Who knew?? ;) So I got my cover artist to make the complete set, and then I had to actually, you know, write the books.

Yeah. Let’s not look at a calendar. Years have 23 months, don’t they?

But now that I have written the books (yes, the last one is done!) it’s easy for me to see that those first covers aren’t quite right.

The Thompson & Sons series isn’t a MC, even if the first hero rides a bike and is a bad boy. It’s a series about how losing someone special affects each of the family members differently—changes their lives and who they are.

Yes, one son rebels. And one goes quiet. One got protective, and… Well, you’ll get to meet the youngest son, Troy, in April. He’s the Goldenboy, without a care in the world…or is he? He’s certainly a charmer, and these new covers show the heroes off far better, mostly because ~I~ know them far better, so when I saw the pictures I could say—YES, that’s Len.

I hope you agree that no matter the cover, it’s what’s inside that counts…but a pretty cover still makes me smile.

And Troy? Yeah…there’s a reason he’s that cocky. You’ll find out April 19th….

Love ALL your books. I am excited about your new covers for Thompson and Sons series. I just compared them. I actually like the old ones a little bit better. Here’s the thing though, I read the books because you’re a good author. Keep up the great work with amazing stories. Thank you!
