News from Mandi: Highly recommend Undecided by Juliana Keyes. Kini is going to review it for Smexy Books soon – my review is – read it! It’s an adorable new adult. Don’t let the cover deceive you – it’s NOT a love triangle. The heroine’s new roommate is the hero’s best friend. The three of them all become best friends but there is never any love triangle. It made me laugh and it’s super romantic.
Ruthless by Gillian Archer is the start of a new motorcycle club series but it was only okay for me. Felt like a standard MC book – but more tame and didn’t go deep into anything. Review coming.
Audio Book news: I finished listening to The Girl With All the Gifts by MR Carey – Zombie thriller – really well done. Loved it. I also just finished Bird Box by Josh Malerman – horror book – omg – amazing. I could NOT stop listening to it. Made me so tense the entire time. Highly rec it (if you like scary things – which I don’t so I don’t know why I read it!!) (Brie rec’d it to me and I listen to her recs)

The Obsession by Nora Roberts reminds me why I started reading her romantic suspense novels in the first place. A strong, reclusive heroine finds love and much more when she decides to settle her nomadic ways and build a life in a small coastal town. Review to come.
Listen To Me Kristen Proby–The first book in Proby’s newest series introduces us to 5 besties who all co-own one of the hottest restaurant in Portland. A fun, sexy, laugh out loud delicious romance between a restaurateur whose totally off bad boys and a former rock star with a very dirty mouth who aims to change her mind. *wink* Review to come.
Never Sweeter by Charlotte Stein–An erotic NA romance that is delightfully awkward and steamy hot when a former bully tries to make amends to the girl whose life he made miserable. Watch for my Smexy Scene Sunday. Review to come. Mini review to come.
Hardball by C.D. Reiss–A sexually dominant baseball player with ADD keeps his world separated into little boxes but when he meets a sedate woman who refuses to go in his boxes…his world shatters in all the best of ways. Hot and dirty with a lovely element of vulnerability brought forth by dual narratives. Mini review to come.
Player and the Pixie by Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway–The second book in this delightful duos sexy, funny, emotionally awkward rugby romance series that will leave you giggling and swooning with abandonment as they guide their reluctant lovers to their happily ever after. Mini review to come.
Bounty by Kristen Ashley–Retro Ashley is back with her 6th installment in her Colorado Mountain series. Deke Hightower finds his bounty with a singer/songwriter who comes to Colorado for a new start. Emotionally gratifying with Ashley’s signature humor, camaraderie, strong family dynamics, and engaging characterizations. Mini review to come.
The Revenger by Debra Anastasia–A woman standing on the edge the abyss get a chance to settle a few scores when the freak accident that killed her family gives her an added edge. When her extracurricular activities catch the eye of a criminal entrepreneur, the stakes are raised in this deadly game of life and death. Mini review to come.
The Rule Book by Jennifer Blackwood–A light hearted romantic comedy that follows a young woman as she starts her very first adult job right out of college. Hired on as a second assistant for a social media consulting company, her struggle to keep her head above water while NOT falling for the CEO is hilarious; especially when she keeps breaking all 700 of his must be memorized rules. Mini review to come.
Meet Me In The Dark by J.A. Huss–This psychological thriller takes you on a makes you dark roller coaster ride of lies, betrayal, violence; making you second guess yourself from start to finish when an assassin comes back to correct a mistake he made 8 years ago. But things aren’t what they seem, and the choice he made so long ago may be just one of many mistakes. Warning: Sexual and physical abuse. Romantic elements and an HFN,
This weekend I’m reading Julianna Keyes Undecided and Grace Draven’s Eidolon.

News from Kini:
My quest to read books with heroines over 25 continues with a 50% from the books I read this week.
Brown Eyed Girl by Lisa Kleypas– Avery and Jack have a one night stand at a wedding. He then pursues her for a long term relationship. Super sweet. I really like this author’s voice, I have noticed how she sometimes throws in these $10 dollar words and it throws me off. Thank goodness for the kindle dictionary.
Undecided by Juliana Keyes– NA done right. I loved Nora and Crosbie. College students falling in love. Review to come.
The Player and the Pixie by L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid– 2nd in this series. Lucy falls for Sean an emotionally closed off rugby player. Also one of them is bad at the sex. This book gave me all the feels.
Heaven and Hell by Kristen Ashley– Kia and Sam are my comfort re-read. This is my absolute favorite KA book. Kia was in hell and now she has found the heaven she deserves with Sam, doesn’t get much better than that. I am STILL waiting for Luci and Hap’s book.
Next up- Trying to finish listening to Controlled Burn by Shannon Stacey, audiobooks are a challenge for me. I need to read Me Before You before my library loan expires. Whatever else speaks to me as interesting this week.
