News from Mandi: The Harder He Falls by Lynda Aicher is an erotic M/M with light bdsm. I really enjoyed it – I’m posting a review early this week.
I was disappointed in Heat It Up by Stina Lindenblatt. A hockey romance without much hockey, I found this one to be very boring and flat. Review coming.
Fierce Wanderer by Liza Street is a very short novella about a lion shifter and a woman he rescues. It was okay but needed some more fleshing out. Review coming.

Tori’s Weekly News:
Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas. The second in Kleypas’s Ravenals series brings us an alpha hero and a shy heroine in a delightful confection of wit, sensuality, intrigue that shows us love can conquer all.
Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase. I don’t know why I waited so long to read this one but I shall from here on out listen to my betters. :) Chase’s Lord of Scoundrels is a laugh out loud sheer delight. A jaded, disillusioned Marquess meets his match and loses harshly when he falls for a strong, practical heroine whose take no prisoners attitude turns the Marquess and his life upside down.
Idol by Kristen Callihan. Fans of will cheer hard as they watch a disillusioned rock star match wits and fall in love with a reclusive, crabby cover designer. Sexy and funny, this couple will burn up your e-reader. Review to come.
Rookie Move by Sarina Bowen. A spin off of her The Ivy Years brings us Leo Trevi’s story which was touched in in The Fifteenth Minute. A sweet, funny, bittersweet romance that will break your heart but build it back up again as one man fights for the love that got away. I enjoyed Leo and Georgia so much though at times her fear of the what ifs dragged the story down. Review to come.
Inseverable by Cecy Robson. A engaging romance contemporary that touches on PSTD and a young woman’s difficult choice between her heart and her love. Some may find the heroine’s personality a bit overwhelming but she definitely grows on you. Review to come.
Empire by Rachel Van Dyken. The Elite Eagle series is one of my crack reads. The outrageousness, darkness, and sheer audacity of the characters and storyline reels me in like bacon. This story is by far my favorite because it involves multiple favorite tropes. Second chances, arranged marriage, a dead spouse who ISN’T made out as a bad person, and a chance at redemption. Fans will want to read Elude first to understand the dynamics playing out.
This weekend I’m reading McLean’s Passion by Sharon Cullen.

Kini News:
Another slow reading week
Still listening to Dirty Wild Nights by Christina Lauren. Audio takes me forever because I can’t listen at work, you know because of work. Loving Lola and Oliver. Relatively new to audiobooks, jury still out on alternating female/male narrators.
DNF’d Heart of a Bad Boy by Sugar Jamison– This was 3rd in a series about brother who return to their home town. This book featured the youngest brother, but the other brothers get page time too. Each book centers on the same 30 day period, but told from a different brother’s perspective. It wasn’t making much sense to me, so I ditched it.
About 60% through Shut Out by Kelly Jamieson. I am really enjoying this. Super hot, sexy college hockey player. Consent and sexual assault awareness/prevention play a major role in this story. Review to come soon.
I have a busy weekend as things continue to invade my reading time, but I’m going to try to make some time for the new one by Kristen Callihan that I am hearing so much about.
