News from Tori: Isn’t summer vacation suppose to be a restful couple of months? I swear I have done more in the last 2 weeks than I have done all year. o_O I really haven’t had much time to read much this week at all. The kid’s social life is very time consuming. lol
The Bourbon Thief by Tiffany Reisz. LOVED THIS ONE. Reisz writes a compelling story that about greed, betrayal, revenge, and redemption. Set in the world of the Bourbon kings, I was instantly engulfed by this world and literally couldn’t put it down till the end. Review to come.
Wild by Cantal Fernando. A short sexy niblet that gives Talen a love interest and opens a new storyline for the Wild Men MC. Review to come.
Where The Wild Things Bite by Molly Harper. Harper is one of the reigning queens of humorous PNR and this installment just helps to solidify her title. A vampire grifter and an OCD human are stranded in the woods with no food, no water, and no hope of rescue. The laughs really never stop. Review to come.
Reaper’s Fire by Joanna Wylde. Reaper’s Fire coincides with Reaper’s Fall in terms of the on going story arc. We know what happened…now we found out why. Not bad though there are some logistic issues and Wylde’s habit of massive time jumping causes confusion in this one. Review to post in Sept issue of RT Book Reviews.
Rake’s Redemption by Chantal Fernando. The Wind Dragon MC’s baddest bad boy finally settles down with a ghost from the past. Humorous and some steamy smexy times made this a decent addition to the series.
This weekend I’m reading Lilah Pace’s The Royal Secret.
News From Kini: I spent the last week to ten days getting ready to move and then moving, so not a lot of reading got done. But I did manage to get some reading in.
