News from Tori: SEALionaire by Shiloh Walker and M.S. Parker– The first in this sexy military romance thriller serial maybe a short novella but it certainly packs a sexy, intense punch. Review to come.
The Baby Bargain by Jennifer Apodaca– A sexy secret baby military romance suspense that teaches a former sniper that our past doesn’t have to dictate our future.
Reaper & Ghost by A. Zavarelli– Books two and three in this dark mob romance series brings us sexy dangerous alpha men and the women who are strong enough to handle them. Warning: There is abuse, human trafficking, and scenes of torture and violence.
Sunrise Crossing by Jodi Thomas– I love Thomas’s small town romances. Multiple storylines build a sweet and sexy romances with a hint of mystery as Thomas offers her couples’ chances of redemption and second chances. Review to come.
Archangel’s Heart by Nalini Singh– Oh Nalini, we are so good together. The 9th book is just as good as the first one as Singh returns to the tower and our favorite couple-Ellie and Raphael. A more personal tone infiltrates the storyline that should thrill longtime fans. Review to come.
Wicked Play Part One by Lynda Aicher– The first in a 10 part serial may find this story sounds similar as it seems to be a culled down version of Aicher’s original Wicked Play series. As I didn’t read the original series, I was able to thoroughly enjoy this sensual and emotional journey of a woman whose visit to a BDSM club awakens more than her own sexual fantasies. Review to come.
Apprentice in Death by J.D. Robb– Robb’s In Death series is a comfortable read that offers fans a futuristic thrill ride through the eyes of a hardened cop and her billionaire husband. This latest installment hits home for Lt Dallas when a killer holds the city hostage and no one knows where or when they’ll strike again. Review to come.
Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci– A cute, funny, sexy second chance romance that takes readers on an whirlwind trip to Rome when the heroine decides she needs some me time after she files for divorce. Lots of love and laughs interact with a strong storyline that deals with first love, second chances, infidelity, marriage, and finding oneself. Review to come.
This weekend I’m celebrating a friend’s birthday (wine time) and I have Jennifer Ashley’s Guardian’s Mate up on the kindle.
News from May: This week I read “the boy is back” by Meg Cabot (review coming soon), and sadly the author is not back with a book that I want to read again. Despite trying to breathe life back into an old series that includes one of my all time favorite chick lit books (every boy’s got one), the boy is not back in this new book. It did, however, inspire me to break out some old classic Foster, Crusie, and Cabot and have a girlie romance reading weekend.
