Tori’s News:
Guardian’s Mate by Jennifer Ashley–The 9th installment of Ashley’s Shifter’s Unbound series gives us the romance and humor we love with a hint of suspense mystery. New dark story arc developing that I believe will take us to the end. Hero and Heroine a fun couple, very well matched. Review to come.
Hard To Hold by Katie Rose–A sweet antagonistic based romance that gives us all the basics but doesn’t seem to dig deep enough (for me) emotionally or otherwise. I enjoyed watching the hero come to terms with a rather interesting situation and the growth he exhibits while dealing with it. Review to come
Curse on the Land by Faith Hunter–Sneaky, sneaky author. The 2nd installment in Hunter’s Soulwood series is an exceptional action packed convoluted mystery that pushes everyone’s boundaries while certain things come to light that will shock and delight fans. Review to come.
Drive Me Crazy by Tracy Wolfe–A steamy friends to lovers second chance romance with plenty of humor and chemistry as a pair of former lovers find themselves addressing the elephant in the room. I enjoyed it though I thought certain compelling aspects of the couple’s relationship were pushed aside creating a rushed feeling. Also, the grovel scene wasn’t “grovel-ly” enough. Lol Currently availablefort only $.99
Roadside Assistance by Marie Harte– A delightfully sexy and fun romance that revolves around friendship, body shaming, and parental issues. Review to come.
Scandal by Amanda Quick-I’ve read this one before but wanted a comfort read and found myself once more enchanted by the romance and marriage of the hero and heroine. Their banter is simply divine and has me laughing every time. A dragon of a hero with plans of revenge never saw his cheerful and charmingly obtuse wife coming and his stern attitude only serves to delight as he does all sort of outrageous things to keep her happy.
This weekend I am reading School Ties by Tamsen Parker.

News from Kini:
I’ve read a string of books that have been meh and it’s put me in a book reading funk. On the plus side last weekend I finished up two scarves I started many months ago. Things seem to be turning around with books though.
All for You by Laura Florand– This is book 1 in the Paris Nights series. This is reunited lovers, a trope I LOVE. The hero returns after having been in the Foreign Legion for 5 years. The heroine is a chocolatier. It is everything that all the books from this author are, sweet and sexy and emotional. I actually read book 2 a few months back and enjoyed it way more than I enjoyed this one. Book 2 is filled with witty banter. This was still a solid read.
Change of Heart by Nicole Jacqueline– This is second in a series. I really disliked, let’s be real, I hated the hero from book 1, but was willing to give this a try. I liked it way better than book one. The hero was way more likable. Full review to some soon.
Rookie Move by Sarina Bowen– I have read every single one of this author’s books, so had not lead me astray yet. Another reunited lovers book. Both hero and heroine are characters from her The Ivy Years series. One thing that I really enjoyed in this book was that Georgia’s rape was not a shameful secret. I would have liked to have seen more time where Leo and Georgia get reaquainted. Overall this was a solid B- read and a very satisfying end.
Next up- a new one from Tawna Fenske, her books are usually funny, so I am looking forward to that. I picked up Earth Bound by Emma Berry and Genevieve Turner at the Kobo sale a few weeks back so I am hoping to read that too.

News from Mandi:
Connection Error by Annabeth Albert is a m/m with one hero a big, nerdy, video gamer and the other a Navy SEAL who has recenlty lost both of his legs in the middle east. They meet on an airplane, court each other over email and fall in love. I liked it – review coming.
The Deeper He Hurts by Lynda Aicher is a m/m with a very deep, intense chemistry between the two heroes. Due to a tragedy in his past, one hero needs pain to keep his life in order. The other hero likes to give pain out. They have an emotional relationship – I realllly liked this one. Review coming
