Mandi’s May To-Be-Read
Super Sexy Excerpt from Concourse by Santino Hassell
Feature: Your Alluring Love by Layla Hagen
News from Tori: only 14 actually days left of school. WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO I seriously need a vacation. I read Harper Sloan’s Lost Rider. Enjoyable, sexy, and fun. The heroine is a pistol. You can read Mandi’s review HERE.
Red Wolf by Jennifer Ashley–The 10th installment offers a pair of secondary characters from White Tiger their own story while further developing a new storyline. I liked it but wasn’t blown away. I never connected with the couple and the main conflict in the romance is a theme that annoys me. Review to come.
Borrowed Souls by Chelsea Mueller–A debut urban fantasy that offers a unique take on sin, religion, and souls. The contrast between the purity theme and the gritty world setting is compelling while the characters are an interesting cast with lots of future potential. Review to come.
Valient (Jokers Wrath MC,#6) by Bella Jewel–This series has always guaranteed an easy, fast, sexy, and humorous rom suspense with a strong character base. Still easy reads but not huge fans of this generation. The kids are kind of…dorky. lol I did enjoy this one’s plotline. The telling in the past and present really helps you connect to the story.
News from Mandi:
Back Piece by L.A. Witt features a tattoo artist who struggles with self image and eating issues, and a hero in the Navy who is a virgin and shy. He gets a tattoo – they fall in love. It’s super sweet but not a lot happens. I got a little bored with it. Mini Review coming.
I DNF’d Sex in the Sticks by Sawyer Bennett. I could not stand the heroine, she really rubbed the wrong way. Too judgmental or something.
I’m currently about 35% into Open Hearts by Eve Dangerfield and I’m loooooving. This book is making me laugh so hard. The hero is a big, goofy guy who just wants to settle down and have a family and be loved. He had an ex-girlfriend who lowered his self-esteem so he is not in the best place with women. The heroine had a string of bad boyfriends, now has her life in order and wants to have a baby on her own with a sperm donor. They meet at a party and make-out in a bathroom and the things that happen – I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. It’s SUPER dirty and fun. I reallllly hope the second half of the book holds up. I’ll let you know.
News from Sheena:
I had a great week in reading. I finally got around to reading Molly O’Keefe’s Bad Neighbor and lovvved! Sexy, ass-hat and the introvert he loves. Sexy, sexy and I see what all the buzz was about.
