Tori and Mandi’s To-Be-Read in September List
News from Tori: I’m behind work wise so every book I read this week you can check out above. :)
I just finished Abandoned and Unseen by Alexandra Ivy & Carrie Ann Ryan. The 2nd in their Branded series, this paranormal novella is a fast sexy read with a hint of angst and suspense. My only issue was how much it reminded me of Jennifer Ashley’s Shifters Unbound series, especially with the shifter camps and collars.
This weekend I’m reading The Lady of Royale Street by Thea de Salle. Super excited to read Alex DeMont’s story.
News from Kini: Tell Me How This Ends by Victoria De La O– I read this to prep for the most recent book in this series. This book was really good. A lot of things I don’t normally see in romance. Not one but two heroes that cry. This was a love triangle, so if that isn’t your thing, this book is not for you. Otherwise, I strongly recommend it.
I finished Bossman by Vi Keeland on audio. I finished is two days ago and I barely remember it so I feel like that’s a good indicator. It wasn’t bad, just nothing overwhelming.
I started Eye Candy by Jessica Lemmon. I am not far enough to have any sort of opinion other than the premise seems cute.
I am listening to The Opposite of Everyone by Joshilyn Jackson. It is narrated by the author and I think she is doing a really good job with the voices and characterizations. It’s a really hard to describe, but boils down to daughter has mommy guilt and discovers the life her mother lead was quite different than she knew.
I am looking forward to the long weekend to lay around and read at least two books. Fingers crossed that actually happens.
