News from Mandi: I’m currently reading House of Cads by Elizabeth Kingston and so far it’s absolutely adorable! I’m not too far in though – so I will report back with a review this week. I’ve never read this author and I saw some people on twitter excited for this one, so I grabbed it. I love love love the heroine – she is from France, visiting her late fiance’s family in England when she meets an American hero. I can’t wait to read more today.
News from Tori: Midnight Wolf by Jennifer Ashley gives readers an enjoyable romance with a grumpy hero and rambunctious heroine. Advancement in the arc and the introduction of some new characters are well received. Review to come. and I have two paperbacks to giveaway.
Pretty Girls Dancing by Kylie Brant is an involved and suspense-filled psychological thriller that tells its story from multiple POVs, giving readers a nuanced look at a mystery from the voices of the victims and their families.
I dnf’ed The Designs of Lord Cavenaugh by Stephanie Laurens. No huge reason beyond it was boring. Lowkey drama and dialogue with no humor or to offset didn’t promise much of what I had hoped for.
I’m stating Faith Hunter’s Dark Queen. Excited to see what is in store for Jane Yellowrok and the city of New Orleans after the developments from the last book.
