Another good week of reads and kisses!

Dr. Strange Beard by Penny Reid. This was my favorite by Reid in the Winston Brothers series. I really enjoyed the pairing of Simone and Roscoe. The book had a bit of a suspenseful element but it didn’t take over the story. This is a second chance at love story and y’all may know that’s one of my favorites. Roscoe’s love for Simone is sweet and tortured. Simone’s journey to discovering Roscoe is her person was excellent.

I love Reid’s voice, but some of the things that sometimes bother me about her were not present in this book. The over-the-top stuff was toned down as was the being rude about other female characters in the book. I really loved Roscoe’s love for Simone

Grade: B+

Boy Toy by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby. Liam is a swoon worthy hero and is a caretaker extraordinaire. It doesn’t pub until 8/14. I have other thoughts that I am not ready to expand on yet, for reasons. But I need someone else who has read the previous books and this one to chat with.

I leave on Sunday for a 7 day cruise to Bermuda! I am excited and nervous. I am a cruise virgin so I don’t really know what to expect. The one thing I know for sure is, I want to get lots of reading done.

Of course I have about 1,000 other books to choose from, but those are the ones that I really want to read now. I think. Who knows, I might get on the ship and decide to read something different. Like the new Kristen Ashley :)
