This Scot of Mine by Sophie Jordan releases today, March 12.
This Scot of Mine is a story featuring a marriage of convenience. Lady Clara fakes a pregnancy to escape a bad marriage in London and soon travels to Scotland to be live with her brother and his wife (Marcus and Alyse from Sophie’s last hit, The Duke Buys a Bride) only to meet the burly and handsome scot, Laird Hunt MacLarin. Hunt believes his family to be cursed—the Lairds from the past five generations have not lived to see their first child born. Lady Clara’s pregnancy, to him, is a means of tricking the curse and still allowing him to be a father, something he has always wanted. Only Clara isn’t pregnant. Only they still yearn for one another. What follows is an exciting and oftentimes humorous romance between the fated lovers, and their journey to break the curse.

There are so many good ones, but The Duchess Deal is definitely one of my favorites.

I’m not very original, so Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas was the first book that came to my mind. But I also really enjoyed The Marraige Contract by Katee Robert, even though I don’t usually find marriage of convenience a convincing trope in contemporaries.
