Mariah gave us the official okay to start playing Christmas songs and today we have Erin McLellan stopping by with a list of sexy Christmas songs that served as inspiration for her new Holiday novella, Stocking Stuffers, out now.
Sexiest Christmas Songs – Stocking Stuffers Inspiration
I wrote Stocking Stuffers, a queer m/f erotic holiday romance, in the summer. It’s not always easy to get in a Christmas mood when the sun is out 22 hours a day (I live in Alaska). As a result, I listened to a lot of Christmas music, which felt wildly out of season, but it mostly worked. The only problem was that Stocking Stuffers is SEXY. Capital letters – SEXY. Listening to songs about the birth of Jesus and children opening presents on Christmas morning was just not cutting it.
So I compiled a list of my favorite sexy Christmas songs and listened to them on repeat. Here are a few of my favorites, along with a link to a Spotify playlist, if you want to get your sexy Christmas carol on too.
“Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt
Let’s all just agree that Eartha Kitt has one of the sexiest voices in history, and this song doesn’t try to hide the fact that it’s come-on to Santa. My characters Stocking Stuffers actually dance to an Eartha Kitt song as a bit of foreplay.
“Merry Christmas, Baby” by Christina Aguilera, featuring Dr. John
Any Christmas song that has the lyrics “Haven’t had a taste this morning/But I’m all lit up like a Christmas tree” deserves to be on this list. Christina’s runs and Dr. John’s smoky voice make it a standout.
“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Sam Smith
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs, and Sam Smith’s stripped down version gives me chills. It’s not so much sexy (though Smith’s voice is sexy) as romantic. And every sexy playlist needs a little romance mixed in.
“I’ll Be Home For Christmas” by Leslie Odom Jr.
Who hasn’t thought that they’d love for the original Aaron Burr in Hamilton to sing them this song? This classic Christmas song is bittersweet and beautiful (I love the Bing Crosby version too) and Odom could sing it to me any day.
“Christmas Tree” by Lady Gaga
This dirty little ditty to the tune of “Deck the Halls” is exactly what you’d expect from 2008-era Lady Gaga. Meaning it’s weird and awesome. And, yes, sexy.
“Santa Claus Got Stuck” by Ella Fitzgerald
This cheeky Fitzgerald song is full of innuendo and double entendre. It’s very fun and definitely worth a listen on any sexy Christmas playlist.
“Sweater Weather” by Pentatonix
I am kind of obsessed with the Pentatonix. I had to very intentionally not include ten of their Christmas covers on this list. This is one of my favorites. Such a good, driving, and sexy a cappella version.
“Winter Song” by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson
This song is full of longing and heartbreak. The singers’ cry of “Is love alive?” is almost chilling, but the honesty and the stripped down piano accompaniment makes it dreamy, romantic, and full of tenderness.
“In Love on Christmas” by NSYNC
So my childhood nostalgia has forced me to include an NSYNC song on this list, and this song in particular has a super dirty R&B beat. If it weren’t for the lyrics, this would be a fucking song.
“Santa Claus is Back in Town” by Elvis Presley
Mmmmm, I love this song. It’s raunchy and festive! Can’t have a list of sexy Christmas songs without the King wailing about “coming down your chimney.”
“Let’s Make Christmas Merry, Baby” by Amos Milburn
Milburn’s expressive voice and the jazzy piano and saxophone solos in this song lend it a distinctly naughty air. Nothing about the lyric “fill your stockings full of toys” sounds innocent to me, and I like that a lot. Very on theme for my book.
“I Got Your Christmas Right Here” by Aloe Blacc
Aloe Blacc’s entire Christmas Funk album is amazing. This song makes me want to dance and kiss my honey and get down. It’s funky and fun and full of cheer.

Sasha Holiday is so over the holidays after getting left at the altar last Christmas Eve. But as the marketing maven for Lady Robin’s Intimate Implements, she’s stuck not-so-merrily pitching naughty toys at a romance book club’s Christmas party. Her loathing of the yuletide only intensifies as a snowstorm rolls in and traps her at the Winterberry Inn. Stranded with her is Perry Winters—a hot bearded book club member trimmed in flannel and tattoos.
Perry’s a romantic with an unerring belief in the magic of the season, and he recognizes a Christmas miracle when he sees it. Brave, smart, and confident—Sasha Holiday is a gift. And the gifts keep coming when she suggests they pass the time with some no-strings fun. After all, she has a big bag of toys that would make even Santa want to stay in bed on Christmas Eve.
But the frisky festivities turn complicated as feelings spark between Sasha and Perry. Perry wants to see Sasha once the snow clears, but Sasha is reluctant to take the relationship sleigh ride again. Perry will have to show her that love is more than just a holiday feeling.

Thanks for sharing your music list, Erin. Are you familiar with Sting’s If On A Winter’s Night…? He has quite a noteworthy voice! I look forward to reading Stocking Stuffers.
