I feel like 2020 never really ended and it’s been one big blur, right? Hopefully 2022 will feel like a real new year. There are so many books I’m looking forward to reading! My list is a mix of not yet released and some that have been out and are on the top of my ever expanding TBR list. That way you don’t have to wait, just grab something now. :)
In chronological order of release dates, here we go:
January 15, Lord of Embers by C.N. Crawford: Book two in the Demon Queen Trials. Book one was one of my top reads last year list.
January 18, Reminders of Him by the absolute queen, Colleen Hoover! I’ve been making my way through her backlist and am SO excited to read her latest and greatest!
January 25, Munro by Kresley Cole: I’ve been DYING for a new Kresley Cole book and it looks like 2022 is blessing us with two! If you haven’t read any of the Immortals After Dark series, you’re in for a treat.
Feb 1, Good Girl Complex by Elle Kennedy: Anything by Elle is a one click!
Feb 1, This Woven Kingdom by Tahereh Mafi: Clashing empires, forbidden romance, and a long-forgotten queen destined to save her people. Say no more.
Feb 1, Ramòn and Julieta by Alana Quintana Albertson: Cinderella meets Romeo and Juliet, this one looks super cute!
March 1, Hook, Line and Sinker by Tessa Bailey: It Happened One Summer was one of my faves in 2021. This is Brendan’s friend Fox’s story. It’s a friends to lovers romance.
March 15, War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout: Yessss!!! Book four in the Blood and Ash series, gimme…gimme…gimme :)
March 15, In a New York Minute by Kate Spencer: A mortifying meet cute turns into true love, all set in NYC.
April 19, Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez: Opposites, age gap fairy tale like yarn? Oh yes…
May 3, City of Ruin by Charissa Weaks: The Witch Chronicles was a best of 2021 book for me, excited to read book two!
May 3, Book Lovers by Emily Henry: I love all that she writes and I too am a book lover.
May 3, Book of Night by Holly Black: Black is amazing! She breaks out of YA with this adult modern dark fantasy of shadowy thieves and secret societies. Can’t wait!!
March 29, Beauty and the Baller by Ilsa Madden-Mills: Anything she writes makes me swoon.
May 17, Something Wilder by Christina Lauren: This writing duo is bit hit or miss with me lately, but I have high hopes for this second chance romance.
May 19th, Glow by Raven Kennedy: This is the fourth book in the deeply addicting Plated Prisoner Series. Book three had a huge cliffhanger and I need more of Rot/Rip. If you know, you know…
June 7, Wicked Beauty by Katee Robert: Book three in the Dark Olympus series. I adored Neon Gods, the first one. The second one, Electric Idol was really good, too.
Summer 2022, From the Grave by Kresley Cole!!! Finally! The YA/NA fantasy series, Arcana Chronicles is the series I always hype to my friends who are into the genre. The last book ended on one whopper of a cliffhanger and I’ve been hanging in there for YEARS begging for closure. I’m ready to pop with excitement that she’s releasing the next book.
Date TBD: Kingdom of the Wicked Third book by Kerri Manascalco: I can’t find a date, but the next book in this series is releasing sometime next year. It was getting SUPER sexy when it jumped off the cliff! Ugh….waiting patiently for book three.
Adrian X Isolde by Charlotte St. Claire: The second book in this series is set to be released in 2022. First book, King of Battle and Blood was terrific and and need more!
Top of the TBR but not new releases:
A Fate of Wrath and Flame by K.A. Tucker
These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan
Seven Days in June by Tia Williams I’ve seen so many GREAT reviews for this!
Supernatural Academy by Jaymin Eve This is being made into a TV series!
War by Laura Thalassa I just read the first one in the series and really liked it!
Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Graber
Beautifully Broken by Michelle Heard
Sidelined by Julie DiCaro This is a different read, it’s non-fiction about sports, culture and being a woman in America. Looks excellent.
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller Am I the only person who has never read this? I need to.
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2022! What books are you most looking forward to reading????

Yesterday, I posted a comment about the 2022 books I’m most anticipating that have a scheduled publication date, but there are also a couple of books that I’ve been waiting for but have no publication date: I live in hope that Kati Wilde will eventually release her shifter romance, SHERIFF’S BAD BEAR, at some point this year. (Kati wrote on her website that 2021 was a difficult year for her.) I’m also hoping that Taylor Fitzpatrick will finally release AND THEN, the second in her Between the Teeth trilogy (the first book, COMING IN FIRST PLACE, was released a couple of years ago and it seems the follow-up book is lost in the ether).

I think I’m most excited for the next Arcana Chronicles book by Kresley Cole. I’ll have to do some prep reading or scanning of summaries before digging in. Same boat as you though, no publication date yet. She’s an amazing author and I’m excited that she’s back writing again.
