Happy National Women’s History Month! One of the big reasons I love romance books is that they’re primarily written by women and for women. They’re dramatic, emotional, unapologetically about love and always with a happy ending. I love that women have created and are loyal to one of the most successful genres in publishing. It’s harmless and fills me, and so many other women, with such joy. Here’s to Romance and the women who write and read them.
Moving on… here are some choice TikTok’s for your Friday. TGIF!
#5 I admit to watching this a few times and texting it to my hubs. The hand work here is a 10.
#4 Lesson learned.
#3 I’ve never been a big fan of “Daddy”. Until now.
#2 I have watched this no less than 10 times
#1 And there’s this… a men’s only truck that’s missing a few things.
I’m listening to Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan and it’s SOOOO good! Totally recommend it. And, I’m facing over choice on my kindle currently. I finished a great book and I find myself staring at my list of downloaded books unable to act and pick one. Has anyone started watching Daisy Jones yet? I LOVED the book!! Tell me what you’re reading!
Cheers, Jen

I can’t remember if I already made these recommendations, so apologies in advance if they are repeats, but I highly recommend the m/m baseball romances of KD Casey (UNWRITTEN RULES, FIRE SEASON, and ONE TRUE OUTCOME). They’re so good & angsty—and, especially if you’re a baseball fan like me, just as good on the baseball stuff as the romance. The two books Casey co-wrote with Lauren Blakely—DIRTY SLIDE and DIRTY STEAL—are fine, but don’t have quite the depth or nuance of Casey’s solo efforts.
I also just finished a really long (700+ pages) but very good m/m romance, FOR THE FANS, by Nyla K. It’s very tropey (stepbrothers, antagonists-to-lovers, emo-jock, opposites-attract), but also individualizes the story of two stepbrothers who dislike each other, but when financial circumstances for both are dire, they start filming themselves hooking up for an Only Fans site. It’s dark in places—and one character has a major unresolved childhood trauma—but a great read. Recommended.

Switching gears, I just finished listening to Thank You For Listening by Julia Whelan and it was the best thing I’ve listened to in a long, long time. If you haven’t listened to it, highly reccomend!
