Review: Into the Shadows by Carolyn Crane
Into the Shadows by Carolyn Crane (The Associates #3) Released: July 16, 2014 Romantic Suspense Self Published Reviewed by Mandi It's going to be hard for another book this year to impress me more than this one. Into the Shadows has great suspense. It has a tortured, broken, scarred hero who is an undercover villain. It has a heroine who is a former party hostess to her villain father who now kicks butt. And it has dirty, dirty sex. A damn fine combination. Thorne had a very bad Continue Reading
Avery Flynn Guest Post: A Beer for Every Romance Hero
We are happy to have Avery Flynn at Smexy today to celebrate her new release, Enemies on Tap. A Beer for Every Romance Hero Avery Flynn Confession time. I decided to write a contemporary romance series about three sisters who inherit a brewery because I love beer. That makes me sound like a total lush, but this is Smexy Books where it’s always wine time so I figure I’m in good company. :) Besides beer I love romance hero—specifically hot, sexy alpha romance heroes. And since I’m a Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – July 11th
10. Can animals always wear clothes? No really, I demand it. 9. A few nights ago, I read the novella Fanning the Flames by Victoria Dahl. I really enjoyed it. Hero is a firefighter, heroine is a librarian. They are both in their mid-40's (which really appeals to me). Loved both of them. And there are some really hot scenes, as well as some amusing scenes. It's about 70 pages so it's a quick read, and totally worth it. Right now, it's also free. Kindle l Nook l Continue Reading

Where The Horses Run by Kaki Warner (Heroes of Heartbreak Creek #2) Released: July 1, 2014 Historical Romance Berkley Reviewed by Mandi Favorite Quote: "You give me courage, Rafe," she whispered against his lips. "And I adore you for that." Kaki Warner is back with a new book and I couldn't be more excited. The past couple of books haven't been my favorite but Where the Horses Run brings back the warm and passionate characters that I adore from this author. This might not be the most Continue Reading
