Tactical Strike by Kaylea Cross (Bagram Special Ops #2) March 11, 2013 Military Romantic Suspense Carina Press Reviewed by Mandi I like military romance and really enjoyed Deadly Descent (among other military romances) from Kaylea Cross last year. Tactical Strike features our heroine, Gunship pilot Captain Candace Bradford who is very hard working, very serious and doesn’t have time for the lusty glances that Combat Controller, Staff Sergeant Ryan Wentworth throws her way. Part Continue Reading
Review: Captive Prince Volume One and Volume Two by S.U. Pacat. AKA–Mandi’s New Favorite Series
I received a recommendation to read Captive Prince Volume one and two by S.U Pacat from both Janine at Dear Author and Brie and Romance Around the Corner (and if you follow those two links you can read their reviews). Huge thanks to them, as I’m sure I would not have picked up this series on my own. Before I continue I will say there are some rape scenes and some pretty brutal treatment of slaves in volume one. Was it hard to read? Oh yes. But those scenes have a great impact on the overall Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–March 15th
10. Best thing ever? Why have I never eaten out of the hood of my backwards hoodie? I will now set a goal to eat ALL THE HOOD FOOD. You might not even need your hands. Brilliant. (Link.) 9. I loved Sins & Needles by Karina Hall, the first book in her Artists Trilogy. The author has now released a prequel novella. I’m going to read it this weekend, but from what I hear (and for those that have read S&N) you may actually LIKE Javier after this novella. Which will just spin Continue Reading

Velocity by Amelia C. Gormley (Impulse #3) Released: March 2, 2013 M/M Contemporary Self Published Reviewed by Mandi I’m very pleased at this last installment in the Impulse trilogy, which follows the shy, handyman Derrick, and his accountant lover, Gavin. When these two first met in book one, they couldn’t have been more different. Derrick had been celibate for ten years, gay but never having been with a man. He was a shy, awkward loner. Author Eden Winters: Series, Anyone? (Giveaway)
We are happy to have Eden Winters visiting Smexy today. Her second book in her m/m romantic suspense series, Collusion, just released. I’ve known some writers who know in advance that they’re going to write six serialized books. They outline, they plan, and then they write. I’ve never written a series. “What?” you say? Goodreads clearly shows that I have several series available: The Angel of 13th Street, The Match Before Christmas, and the Diversion series. And yet… I’ve never written a Continue Reading
