Smexy’s May TBR

May 3, 2019 by Angela 1 Comment

Angela: Last month I only had a couple of ARCs for review, so I caught up on my TBR stack. This month I am overloaded with books to read on my review list, but they all sound fantastic. Storm Cursed (Mercy Thompson #11) by Patricia Briggs 5/7- I actually just finished this one and it was another great addition to the series. Review to come. The Bride Test ( The Kiss Quotient #2) by Helen Hoang 5/7- I LOVED The Kiss Quotient. I've got The Bride Test up next in my reading queue so I'll Continue Reading

Kini’s Friday Kisses

December 7, 2018 by Kini 2 Comments

Smexy folks, I have missed you terribly but I am back. Life required my attention a little more than I would have liked recently and it kept me from writing any reviews. It didn’t keep me from reading though, I have lots of books to talk about this week. First up, I ordered the new Kindle Paperwhite and I mostly love it. It came with 6 months of KU so I am trying to catch up on some KU reads :) Adventures in Online Dating by Julie Particka- I LOVE stories centered around online Continue Reading

My review of Hailey Edward's Death Knell (Foundling #3) will post later today. What I read this week: My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren Contemporary Romance December 4, 2018 by Gallery Books Favorite Quote: "Unusual? No. She's super funny." Now I'm torn between insult that he doesn't realize that I'm super funny, and swooning that he's talking about me and doesn't even know it. Holy shit, this is both incredibly sweet and incredibly fucking stupid." Friends to lovers is Continue Reading

Angela’s Monday Mornings

What I read this week: Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren Contemporary Romance September 4, 2018 by Gallery Books Favorite Quote: "But at the end of the day," she says, and puts her hand outside the open window, letting the wind pass through her fingers, "being myself is enough. I'm enough." The friends to lovers trope is one of my absolute favorites. I love that moment when best friends realize that their relationship has deepened into something more and they Continue Reading

April 16, 2018 by Tori 5 Comments

Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren Contemporary fiction/Romance April 10, 2018 Gallery Books Reviewed by Tori Favorite Quote: "I've been waiting for you to come home for eleven years. I'll go anywhere with you."  Second chances in life are rare and when they are offered, some people are unable to grab hold out of fear while others seize the moment and pray that this time it all goes right. Love and Other Words is about a couple who are offered a second chance and the young Continue Reading

Christina Lauren: Becoming Full-Time Romance Writers

April 6, 2018 by Mandi 1 Comment

Christina Lauren on Taking the Leap from Fanfiction to Full-Time Romance Writers When I read Sweet Filthy Boy, back in 2014, I fell in love with this author duo. That trilogy (including Dirty Rowdy Thing and Dark Wild Night) is so sexy and funny - and just the most fun to read. And I have to mention Beautiful too! From a different series and oh so good. Christina Lauren is featured on the When to Jump podcast this week, and here is some more information if you are interested. Once Continue Reading

December 8, 2017 by Tori 5 Comments

Roomies by Christina Lauren Romance Contemporary December 5, 2017 Gallery Books Reviewed by Tori Favorite Quote: “This is what happens when you put a bunch of artists in charge of a legal decision.” Holland Bakker has spent the last six months infatuated with a gorgeous busker and haunts the subway station every day just to hear him play. When her uncle, a famous musical director, needs a musician when his lead quits, Holland knows the perfect person and drags her uncle to hear her Continue Reading

Review: Dating You/Hating You by Christina Lauren

June 29, 2017 by admin 3 Comments

Dating You/Hating You by Christina Lauren Romance Contemporary June 6, 2017 Gallery Books Reviewed by Tracey Wasinger Despite the odds against them from an embarrassing meet-awkward at a mutual friend’s Halloween party, Carter and Evie immediately hit it off. Even the realization that they’re both high-powered agents at competing firms in Hollywood isn’t enough to squash the fire. But when their two agencies merge—causing the pair to vie for the same position—all bets are off. What could Continue Reading

Review and Giveaway: Beautiful by Christina Lauren

October 4, 2016 by Mandi 20 Comments

Beautiful by Christina Lauren (Beautiful Bastard #5) Released: October 4, 2016 Contemporary Romance Gallery Books Reviewed by Mandi I haven't read all of the books in this series but I still feel like I know all the players. The last book in this series, Beautiful is so much fun and so sexy - I think I smiled the entire time I read it. Jensen and Pippa are so darn cute together that I didn't want their story to end. Pippa lives in England and hates her job. When she comes home on her Continue Reading

Release Day Giveaway: Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren

February 2, 2016 by Mandi 29 Comments

London Hughes is very content to surf daily, tend bar, hang out with her group of friends, and slowly orient herself in the years after college. Everything’s going great and according to the non-plan. But when a wave knocks her for a loop one morning, then Luke Sutter’s flirtatious smile knocks her for another that evening, she veers slightly off course…and into his path. Sure, he’s a total player, but the Why not—it’s only one night is a persistent voice in her ear. For his part, Luke’s Continue Reading
