I saw this book announced last year and the blurb caught my attention. I eagerly awaited its arrival on Netgalley. I started following Abby on social media and was curious to know if the book would be as funny as she is online. In early 2019 I started seeing bloggers and bookstagrammers get ARCs and I waited patiently. I started to see 5 stars reviews for the book from big name publications and still I waited for a sign I might get the ARC. I also avoided all reviews of the book. Until one Continue Reading
Q & A with Author S.A. McAuley
Today we've got author S.A. McAuley stopping by with a Q&A. S.A.'s new book, Out of Shade is out now. Hi! I’m S.A. McAuley—aka Sam—and I have a new contemporary romance that released on May 21st called “Out of the Shade.” It’s the first novel I’ve released in three years and it’s completely different than anything I’ve written before. But just like my other books, it features found family and queer characters, the romance is at the heart of the story, and the HEA is guaranteed. Your Continue Reading

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuistonLGBT Contemporary RomanceMay 14, 2019 by St. Martin's Griffin KINDLE * BN * GOODREADS I loved this book. LOVED. I loved the snark and quirky main (and secondary) characters and the enemies to lovers and the heartfelt emails sent back and forth with their beautiful historical quotes and the sex in well known settings. I loved how the author managed to make this couple's relationship and the worldbuilding feel fresh and new even though the Continue Reading

Review: Let’s Talk About Sext by Evie Claire
I picked this up because I thought it was going to be about a couple who texts/sexts a lot. At least enough to make it in to the title. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t more texting. There was some, but not as must as I wanted. That is probably me just being nit-picky though. And that is how I roll. While I am talking about the little things in this book that bothered me, I want to mention that the word “girl” was used 63 times. The heroine, Phebe is a ball busting project manager Continue Reading

Review: 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
The cover does not do justice to this story. It gave me the impression the book would be light and fluffy and that is not the case. This book is so very different from THG and it really worked for me. The first bit of the book was a bit slow for me but then it really picked up. And I could not put it down. I stayed up until 1:30 am reading it. It made a cry a little bit. Darcy Barrett is a sad girl. She isn’t eating properly. She isn’t taking medication for her chronic illness. She Continue Reading
