I know everyone tends to remember Mal, the drummer for Stage Dive, especially since he has such a big, slightly manic, fun personality. But it is the troubled Jimmy, the lead singer with addiction problems who can't seem to get his life together, who I fell for the hardest in this series. He meets Lena when she is hired to be his assistant/babysitter/person who keeps him out of Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok
Holy crap, it’s nearly 90 degrees here today!! We just went from spring to summer in one hot second. On my sweaty mid-afternoon walk today, I listened to Circe by Madeline Miller. It’s great and I’ve got about three hours left before the end. Anything could happen, but Song of Achilles by Miller is still my favorite from this author. I’m also inching towards the finish line on the third book in the Lords of Forsyth series. That review will be a doozy. I’m fanning myself. My book club is meeting Continue Reading

Review: With Love from Rose Bend by Naima Simone
With Love from Rose Bend by Naima SimoneRose Bend #3Contemporary Romance March 29, 2022, by HQN Books Review by Melanie I don’t know if this is the final book in this series but if it is, Naima Simone is ending on a very high note, capturing all the small town charm typically found in Hallmark movies and imbuing the series with her traditional brand of gut wrenching emotions and incredibly high heat and sexual tension. Leo, who helps run her family’s inn, and Owen, retired Continue Reading
