Smexy Deals!

January 21, 2020 by Angela

Elisa Benitez is proud of who she is, from her bitingly sarcastic remarks, to her love of both pretty boys and pretty girls. If someone doesn’t like her, that’s their problem, and Elisa couldn’t care less. Particularly if that person is Darcy Fitzgerald, a snobby, socially awkward heiress with an attitude problem and more money than she knows what to do with. From the moment they meet, Elisa and Darcy are at each other’s throats -- which is a bit unfortunate, since Darcy’s best friend is Continue Reading

Kini’s Monday Minis- Reviews for books by Rachel Reid, Lucy Parker, and Adriana Anders

January 20, 2020 by Kini

Tough Guy by Rachel Reid- It has been a while since I read a hockey romance and this one did not disappoint. Hockey playing hero Ryan suffers from anxiety and it was handled so well by the author. His love interest is Fabian and Fabian seems to present as gender non-conforming. All in all the story was sweet and sexy and was a great reintroduction to hockey romance for me. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. Reid hints at another couple that has my interest Continue Reading

10. I binged Cheer on Netflix this week and OMG I had no idea how invested I would be by just the end of episode 2. My heart belongs to these kids and I'm convinced that Jerry is the best human on Earth. Have y'all watched yet? 9. Speaking of Cheer, Kini sent me this FB post of all the Instagram accounts of the Cheer squad in case y'all want to check in with any of them. 8. OMG this makes me so happy. Oh, hi Jake. ♥️Coming MARCH 10th! Continue Reading

Review: Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey

January 17, 2020 by Kini

By now y’all may know that I love the marriage in trouble trope. There is something so appealing to me about reading about couples who have to figure out their shit and decide to make their marriage work. I haven’t read Bailey in quite some time, I’ve kind of moved away from reading and enjoying her brand of possessive alpha heroes. But with this trope, I was never not going to read Love Her or Lose Her.  I ended up having incredibly mixed feelings about this book. I will start with the good. Continue Reading

Guest Post: Lucy Parker’s TBR

January 16, 2020 by Kini

Lucy's last TBR post with us did so well, we invited her back to talk about her 2020 TBR. Lucy's new book Headliners releases next week. I've already read it and it was delightful and you should definitely add it to your TBR. I’m personally confused as to how it’s already 2020 at all, but despite the fact that 2019 disappeared in the blink of an eye, it brought some incredible books, and I’m so excited for what new additions I’ll have this year for my keeper shelf and my much-cherished Continue Reading

Angela’s Minis- Reviews for books by Charlaine Harris and Tessa Bailey

January 15, 2020 by Angela

Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa BaileyHot & Hammered #2Contemporary RomanceJanuary 14, 2020 by AvonARC I love the second chance/marriage in trouble trope when it's done well. Having enjoyed the first book in the series, Fix Her Up, I was intrigued to find out the next book would be about the married couple in the group of friends introduced. I couldn't wait until my ARC hit my Kindle. This was a very enjoyable read. I was hooked almost from the first word, but I couldn't tell if that Continue Reading

From acclaimed author Alyssa Cole comes the tale of a city Cinderella and her Prince Charming in disguise . . . Right. Delete! As a former foster kid, she’s learned that the only things she can depend on are herself and the scientific method, and a silly e-mail won’t convince her otherwise. Prince Continue Reading

Guest Post: How I Incorporated TBI in to a romance novel by Renee Dahlia

January 13, 2020 by Kini

Horse riding is the only sport where riders compete on an equal basis regardless of gender. It was the horses that drew me to horse racing, and the idea of equity that helped keep me interested (and the data, but that’s an aside to this story). I grew up in a country town in New Zealand with parents who had zero interest in horses, so I took myself along to pony club and begged people to let me borrow their horses. From there, I worked as a strapper (or if you are American, a hot walker or Continue Reading
