Over the past two years, I've read and really enjoyed the first two books in the Mindspace Investigations series by Alex Hughes. It features a hero with very strong telepath skills who is also a recovering drug addict and a heroine who works for the police department and reluctantly becomes his partner. I like to say it's Jim Butcher meets J.D. Robb. Set in the future, with paranormal suspense, our hero Adam reminds me a lot of Jim Butcher and the romantic relationship (and I hesitate to imply Continue Reading

AAD Spotlight: Katie Reus
Our Authors After Dark Spotlights continue with the very talented romance author, Katie Reus. Ms Reus likes to walk on the dark side with her romantic suspense and dark PNR stories. Currently writing for Carina Press, Harlequin Nocturne, and NAL/Signet Eclipse (Moon Shifter series), Ms. Reus’s love of romance started at an early age with pilfered romance books from her mother. Even though reading and writing became her passion, it wasn’t until after she graduated collage and worked way to may Continue Reading

Eliza Gayle is the secret code name for a suburban mom who works by day as an undercover marketing manager and by night as a witch looking for love, a sex demon, an exhibitionist, an assassin, a bartender and on a rare occasion a crooner able to lure even the most reluctant vampire to her side. Well, so much for the secret part anyways. Lucas is the first book in a series about cougar shifters. What made you choose cougars? I love the big cats. Continue Reading
