We are happy to spotlight Melissa Schroeder today at Smexy Books. She will be one of the many authors attending the Author’s After Dark conference in August 2012 in New Orleans. It was a pleasure to meet her at this year’s AAD conference. Her and Kris Cook sponsored a happy hour – a definite highlight of the conference ;) Melissa Schroeder has been a busy writer since her debut in 2004, having published many books since that time. I not only enjoy reading her “Harmless” series but she is Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–November 11th
10. Earlier in the week, a deer hunter fell out of a tree at the end of my street (my street dead-ends at a big wooded area. Also, I live in redneckville). Four fire trucks, three ambulances, police and the medevac helicopter all came. I guess he had a phone, and was able to call 9-1-1. It was dramatic, especially watching the helicopter try to land in this small field on my street. I have no idea how hurt the hunter was, I hope he is okay. My little street can’t handle that type of chaos! Continue Reading

The Comforts Of Home (Harmony #3) By Jodi Thomas Romantic Contemporary November 1, 2011 Berkley Reviewed by Tori Favorite Quote: “One word. His last wish. His last hope for her. Jeremiah Thurman adopted her-letting the world continue to think she was his niece and has pretty much gave her the farm. Reagan knows her uncle doesn't Continue Reading
Review: Counterpoint: Dylan’s Story by Ruth Sims
Counterpoint: Dylan’s Story by Ruth Sims M/M Romance July 12, 2010 Dreamspinner Press Reviewed by Mandi This book really surprised me. This is the first I’ve read of Ruth Sims, and honestly chose to review it because I don’t find a lot of historical LBGT romance, and thought, sure why not. What this book turns out to be is a romance, but also one man’s journey of discovery of life. Of how grand notions of life when you are 18 and think nothing is going to stop you, turn to what reality Continue Reading
Review: Small Town Christmas Anthology
Small Town Christmas by Jill Shalvis, Hope Ramsey, and Katie Lane Romantic Contemporary Ebook November 1, 2011 Grand Central Publishing Reviewed by Tori Romantic Christmas stories have to be my secret all time pleasure. Christmas is my favorite holiday with the songs, decorating, and general good natured cheer that seems to to even affect the grumpiest of scrooges. I love reading about those who have given up only to find that wishes do come true for those most deserving. Here we Continue Reading
