Let’s Start the Southern Arcana Read Along!
I’ve been a fan of the Southern Arcana series by Moira Rogers for quite some time. Each paranormal romance book has a HEA at the end, but the world builds up with each book, making it a really fun series. So, if you haven’t read this series here is your chance! And if you have read it, come join in the discussion because we have some fabulous prizes that will be given away. Mandi here at Smexy Books, Sophia at Fiction Vixen and Nicole at The Book Pushers will each take a turn discussing a Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–April 8th
10. My Week – I’ve made a week as a 33 year old. I’m pretty sure I have excessive eye wrinkles and gray hair now. To make myself feel more youthful I bought tickets to see the Scissor Sisters this June with three girlfriends. Woo to the Hoo!!! I love Jake Shears and Babydaddy something fierce. 9. I am officially going to the Lori Foster Reader and Author Get Together! Taking place in Cincinnati in early June. Some of my favorite authors will be there – Nalini Singh, Shiloh Walker, Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–March 11th
10. Rainy and cloudy all week – so what did I do? Read three BDSM books. What else is a girl to do? Two I loved, one I didn’t. See below for more. Hubs also turned 33 – he requested oyster stew for dinner. So like a good wife I called his mother and said – hey, make your son oyster stew! Oysters in a cream sauce – I just can’t do it. ;) 9. One of my favorite authors, Ilona Andrews (who writes the Kate Dainels and Edge series) has a new short story out called Of Swine and Roses. I Continue Reading

10. My week was filled with snow..we got about a foot. School has been closed for three days. We have built snow forts, snowmen, and have gone sledding. My kids have never slept so well at night! We also spent a night with no power – which meant no heat or water. Have I mentioned I’m ready for spring? Because I AM!!! 9. Cover Alert! Wilder’s Mate by Moira Rogers. This is the first in their steampunk Bloodhounds series. This cover is pretty awesome. Tori will have her review next Continue Reading
Mandi and Tori’s Top 20 Books for 2010
Mandi’s Top 20 30 books for 2010 I am listing them in order that I read them this year. Okay, so I told Tori to name her top 20 and then cheated and included 30 instead of 20. I couldn’t cut any. *clings to list* Some are 2009 releases that I read this year, some I’ve grouped into series because multiple books in one series were released this year. Here we go! Lead Me On by Victoria Dahl – Chase is one of the HOTTEST heroes I have read this year and I love Victoria Dahl’s style. Elemental Continue Reading
Author Websites – The Good and The Bad
Since I am a long time reader, have been a blogger for awhile now and have spent an obsessive amount some time on the internet, I have seen a lot of author websites. As a blogger, I use them more as a tool to get my reviews ready. Going to them for links, cover art and to see what books are included in a series. As a reader, I use them to stalk future releases and read blog posts. I can’t say how frustrating it is when you go to an author’s website and you can’t find what you are looking for. Or Continue Reading
