Tori’s News: Well, with Mandi gone, my week has been a bit busier then normal. I am all set to go to Lori Foster’s Get Away con in June. I can’t wait to go. I hear this is one of the better more reader/blogger friendly cons. Reading has been slow as the family has been sick due to the extreme temp changes here in FL. Stupid state.

Finished Kit Rocha’s Beyond Control. All I can say is READ IT. READ IT NOW.

Noelle Adams aka Claire Kent, is writing a serial YA/NA entitled Listed.  There are six in all (so far), each are approx 30-40 pages  at $.99 a pop. Not bad overall. I’ve read Volumes 1-3 and while the first one was a bit slow as it is mostly set up, the other two read fast. This  is a YA/NA so any smexytimes don’t occur till late in the series and it’s off scene. But hey, they are $.99 cents each.

J Lynn’s Wait For You is a well written emotional heartache about a young girl who tries to cope with a past trauma while at college. A SUPER DUPER SMEXY hero and additional well developed characters make this a must read for everyone who loves NAs. And, it’s only $.99  on Amazon right now.

From What I Remember by Stacy Kramer is a comical YA with sexual content. A fast enjoyable read even with the multitude of POVs invading the story. A classic trope of good girl nerd and bad boy prince hooking up. The twist? It all takes place in Mexico;  after a wedding, multitudes of tequila, and the knowledge that they have 3 hrs to get back to school for graduation.

I love Jennifer Harlowe’s voice and brand of crazy humor. Her latest book-What’s A Witch To Do? -is a funny paranormal romance with hints of suspense and mystery as we watch out heroine deal with the crazy pitfalls of love, family, responsibility, and the fact someone is trying to murder her. Fans of her F.R.E.A.K. Squad series will be pleased with this new venture. Review to come.

This weekend will be a reading weekend since I am muy behind on reviews.

May’s News: This week I started by DNFing the new Erin McCarthy Seeing is Believing. Between the girlish heroine, unprotected sex, and approach to ghosts I was running away by page 70. Just no.

So, for the rest of this week  I indulged myself and just read fantasy novels. I’m two books into the Black jewels trilogy by Anne Bishop (Tori made me) and it is phenomenal! I need to listen to her fantasy/UF refs more closely. (Tori here: Yes, you do) If you like fantasy at all- you need to be reading too. It’s addictive.
I also read, what was likely the BEST book so far for me of 2013… Night Blade by JC Daniels. It’s so dark, and her characters go so deep- I can’t recommend it enough. Seriously the best urban fantasy series to start recently. One of my all time faves too. And we are only 2 books in.
Next up I’ve got fresh stack of review books and a wide open weekend…

I really want to read What’s a witch to do, but at over € 10,00 it is too expensive for now. And yeah for reading Anne Bishop! Such a great series. I hope you’ll read the books after the initial trilogy as well.
