I think “Feelings and Boners” should be the new Smexy Books tagline. I tweeted that in regard to a book I was describing on Twitter, and someone said it should be our tagline. It fits, right? We don’t take ourselves all too seriously, but we are passionate about romance books. And feelings. And….boners. We like to have fun.
Smexy Books is six years old! Does it feel like it’s been six years? Yes. LOL. What did I do with my life before Smexy Books and Twitter? I really can’t remember.
I thought about how to celebrate six years. Write a mushy post about my love for my Smexy girls and readers? Talk about the impact the romance community has had on my life? How much I love romance authors?
Instead, Tori and I decided to do a top ten to celebrate. We love a top ten list.

We at smexybooks do love cock. In books, you pervs! One of Smexy Books’ best top tens posts of 2014 was not only a post on the top ten sex scenes of 2014 but also the number of times the word ‘cock’ appears in each book. The winner(s) were Alisha Rai and Kit Rocha with 84 cocks each. *fist bump*
9. Sheena
This past year brought Sheena to Smexy Books, and she has made blogging even more fun! She has the best sense of humor, which I think is shown in her reviews so well. When we have emails with the group back and forth, she always, ALWAYS makes me giggle. She is so passionate about romance books (especially if they involve motorcycles) – we just adore her.

Did we? Mandi kind of failed. I DO listen to a ton of audio books. I’m quite obsessed at the moment. I’m still obsessed with reclusive heroes, virgin heroes, and Jon Hamm’s peen. Not sure if I’ve read a present day marriage of convenience but I’ll be on the look out.
Tori: I pretty much sucked at keep my resolutions but I usually do so… I ended up reading even MORE books in 2014, still haven’t learned to say no, and sucked up NA like a Hoover vacuum. I did look for more beta heroes and balanced relationships in romancelandia so that was a plus.
6. Smex Scene Sunday

Smex Scene Sunday (SSS) is our most popular feature. Tori and I take turns posting a very sexy scene from recent read every Sunday. It’s fun to be reading a book and come upon a scene that you just know would make a perfect SSS post. Sometimes it not even actual sex but the dirty talk that leads up to it. I get emails asking for more days featuring smex scenes. Listen – there is only so much Smex we can come up with!! *wink* Actually – I’m playing around with the idea of doing something like Erotic Tuesday’s (because Tuesday’s are so boring). And we will feature an erotic book each Tuesday and maybe do something else erotic…. I need to discuss with the Smexy girls… But stay tuned.
