News from Mandi: I was disappointed in A Viking for a Viscountess by Michelle Willingham. Cute premise where a viking thinks he is dying, but travels forward 1,000 years into 19th century England and meets a viscountess who hasn’t seen her husband in a long time and her marriage may not be legal. But I didn’t care for the execution. The hero felt too familiar with “modern” times and I didn’t feel their chemistry.

Misfits by Garrett Leigh is a M/M…./M – and I believed in the three-way HEA at the end. There is a long-term, open relationship M/M couple and one of the M falls for a third M, and eventually the other M falls for him too. Confused? I’ll post a review soon. Sexy, sexy too.

Speaking of M/M, Trust the Focus by Megan Erickson, out this Tuesday, is a very well done new adult m/m. Best friends take a road trip in an RV one summer and fall for each other. One has been deep in the closet, so it’s hard for him to take the step into romance. I’ll be posting a review on Tuesday. Really enjoyed it.

In audio news, I finished listening to The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. Really enjoyed – and three fantastic narrators. It’s a psychological thriller, so something a little different for me to read. Making my dad and husband read it next ;)

This weekend I’m going to start Hearts of Fire by LH Cosway. I’ve heard good things.

News from Tori: Vampires on ice? Sign me up. Blood on the Ice by Katriena Knight is a quirky m/m pnr that had me hooked when a pro hockey player is made into a vampire against his will and now has to do some serious readjusting in his life. Review in June issue of RT Book Review Magazine.

Elements of Chemistry: Heat (Hypothesis, #0.5)  by Penny Reid. The second installment in Reid’s NA brings more heat and intrigue to this unusual romance. Warning…the cliffie may leave you hyperventilating. Review to come.

The Warlord’s Wife by Sandra Lake is a fun, intriguing, and steamy historical romance that pits a smart woman against a grumpy viking. Review to come.

The Closer You Come by Gena Showalter. Is there anything Showalter DOESN’T do well? lol Her newest romance contemporary is a sexy emotional small town romance between a ex con and an over achiever. Plenty of humor and engaging characters make for a fast fun read. Review to come.

Silver Skin and Stone Song by D.L. McDermott. The first book in this series didn’t do it for me and I ended up pushing it aside. I decided to give it another chance and was glad I did. Though still violent and dark, the storyline seems to have settled and I enjoyed the expanding world and it’s unpredictable characters.

Cherish & Blessed (Faith, Love, & Devotion #4, #5) by Tere MIchaels A sweet and sexy visit back with couple Evan and Matt. Review to come.

Ember (Eagle Elite, #5) by Rachel Van Dyken.  I tried to like but the heroine was so clingy and annoying I wanted to put a hit on her myself.

This weekend I am reading And Jericho Burned by M.J. Compton.
