Smexy’s Top Ten
News from Mandi: I DNF’d The Art of Ruining a Rake by Emma Locke. I’ve enjoyed her books in the past but this one – the beginning just didn’t sit well with me. The heroine runs a school and the hero (someone she knows from her past) comes in unexpectedy and they end up having sex on her desk and get caught – basically ruining her. And then later they get caught kissing – but I didn’t get the two of them together at that point.
Heat Exchange by Shannon Stacey was okay. A new series about firefighters in Boston, I feel like the heroine’s sister and all her drama overshadowed the main romance in this book. The characters are very likable but I think the romance lacked a little bit. Review coming
Wicked Fall by Sawyer Bennett is fun. The hero is super alpha and treats the heroine like an innocent, naive thing – which is annoying – but overall I liked it as a guilty pleasure read. There is a sex club but it doesn’t play a huge part in the book. The hero’s BFF is named Bridger and he is funnnnnn. I can’t wait for his book. He swings both ways and I liked every second he was on page. Review coming
Sustained by Emma Chase is a really well done romance book. The hero is a lawyer who rides the edge of jerky/asshole BUT is also very lovable and adorable. The heroine is stuck raising her six nieces and nephews and their inclusion in the book is fun. The kids are written very well. I laughed a lot. Review coming.
Up next is Crosstown Crush by Cara McKenna.
Tori is having a lot of internet problems – so if she can connect to the world today, she’ll post her wrap-up. Let’s keep her in our thoughts. *wink*

Hi Mandi I am looking for a book that you recommended couple of months ago. I cant seem to recall the title. All I remember is that it’s about a hockey player who falls for his teammates younger sister and starts texting her and they start a sexual relationship. I thought it might be Pucked but it’s not that one.
I hope this jogs your memory. I would appreciate any help finding this book.

Mandi, have you reviewed Cocky Bastard by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland yet? It didn’t come up on a search here. Was just wondering.
Mandi says
No – should we?

Oh geez, yes! I just posted my review on Goodreads. I am smitten with this book. It’s not perfect but the perfect parts outweighed the non and I had to give it 5 stars.

Okay!
