News From Mandi:

Valor on the Move by Keira Andrews was okay. The drama/conflict towards the end felt a little silly. I also had some problems with the age difference. The hero is 21 but if I  had not known that I would have guessed 15/16ish. The other her is 39. Felt a little odd to me. Review coming

Another m/m I read is Signs of Life by Melanie Hansen. It’s a little depressing and dark but I liked both heroes. Review to come

I DNF’d Claimed by Elle Kennedy. I was  honestly a little bored – too much sex. I also thought it resembled the Beyond series by Kit Rocha. I found myself constantly comparing the two rather than getting engaged in the book.

Currently reading Shadow Fall by Laura Griffin and very much enjoying. Great romantic suspense so far.

News from Tori:

I Spy a Duke by Erica Monroe is the first book in her new Covert Heiress series. An intriguing historical romance suspense with a delightful hero and heroine whose marriage of convenience only serves to add flames to the fire as they strive to stop a spy from killing again. Review to come.

Until Jax by Aurora Rose Reynolds (Until Him Series) is a crack drama llama read, reminiscent of Jamie Begley and Lani Lynn Vale. Super duper alpha males, sweet damsels in distress, bitchy exs and a ongoing sex trafficking plotline. Lots of smexy times and humor keep the story from becoming too dark.

Feel The Burn G.A. Aiken–A fantastic installment that proves once again that when it comes to PNR-Aiken/Laurenston is one of the reigning queens. I laughed and giggled so hard throughout this book. Though the humor reigns supreme; the action, intrigue, and suspense blend well with the continued evolution of the world, characters, and arc. More to come closer to release date.

Omens by Kelley Armstrong- I have no idea why I waited so long to read this book. The first book in her Cainsville series, Armstrong creates a strong likable heroine and turns her life upside down when she learns she adopted and her real parents were serial killers. An intriguing mix of Welsh mythology and a eye popping mystery kept me hooked from page one.

Everybody Talks by Kitty James–The second book in the Kitty James Mystery series took me by surprised with its humor, eccentric characters, and mischievous storyline. The heroine will keep you giggling as she struggles to live down her mother’s promiscuous reputation but her crazy relatives and a persistent homicide detective make it very hard. Review to come.

This weekend I’m reading Dark Heart of Magic by Jennifer Estep and apparently going rollerblading. YIKES!

@Tori- I liked Omens as well,Olivia’s and Gabriel’s relationship was my favorite part.
Armstrong lost me with third book, though, but I hope she’ll get back on track.

Well, ok, it depends what you like: second book is dealing with mystery of Cainsville (which is cool) and it’s bringing another guy into story in more prominent way, but third book is firmly in dreaded love triangle territory and I am not a fan. :\

I had an inkling it may go that route eventually. Was hoping not. Maybe book 4 will clear everything up.
